How to Apply: 

For a subtle defining line, draw the tip of the pen from the inner to the outer eye corner, sticking as close to the lash line as possible. Slant the pen and add more pressure to create a bolder line or continue to layer until you achieve desired definition.

My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics Arrested For Overstay Waterproof Eyeliner 01 I’ll Be Black:

Since liquid and pen/sketch eyeliners tend to be not water-proof instead of all the claims. Most of them are water-resistant but not water-proof which means they might not give you raccoon eyes in contact with water but if you rub your eyes they’ll flake off or come off. Let’s dive into details to see if this one lives upto its claim of being waterproof.

Packaging:

Sugar Arrested For Overstay Waterproof Eyeliner 01 I’ll Be Black comes in a pink outer carton box with same graphics as other sugar products. The eyeliner itself is a glossy black sketch pen with long thin felt-tip applicator. I like the applicator a lot, it is not too soft not too hard and hence gives more control over application. It is easy to draw thin and thick line with this.

Shade & Pigmentation:

Sugar Arrested For Overstay Waterproof Eyeliner 01 I’ll Be Black is not the blackest black but definitely very intense black. It is pigmented but you need atleast 2 layers for opaque finish otherwise you can see your skin peeking through. It has a glossy finish.

Performance:

When applied directly onto skin without any eyeshadow underneath, it tends to bleed into skin-lines and also the pigmentation is not so great in one swipe and you need to go over 2-3 times for full opaque pigmentation. Also i did notice some transfer on upper lid in hot humid day after about 4-5 hours. So this is something to keep in mid if you have oily lids or you apply eyeliners directly on skin.

When applied on top of eyeshadows it performs amazingly. no bleeding at all and also you get really good pigmentation in single swipe. although i do recommend 2 swipes for full intense finish.

Is it water-proof though??? not really. Like other counterparts, it is water-resistant but not water-proof, which means it will come-off if you slightly rub your eyes after splashing water.

Sugar Arrested For Overstay Waterproof Eyeliner 01 I’ll Be Black is an average eyeliner in my opinion. I love very intense black shade with glossy finish. The best part about this is the applicator, it is perfect for thin or thick application and also the stiffness is perfect. But I do not like the how this liner performs when applied directly on skin. I also do not like the price tag at all. If you are someone who always wear eyeshadows and use black liner over the top, this might be for you. But if you are someone who uses liner directly onto skin, you might not enjoy this one. For me it is hit or miss. I am not going to repurchase it. I prefer SUGAR Eye Told You So Waterproof Eyeliner 01 Black Swan over this anyday.
