Facewash is staple in skincare routine for everyone and there are so many to choose from. I’m someone who gets bored of facewashes and like to try different ones. And I do like to come back to my favorites time to time. I bought The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Foaming Cleanser on recommendation of my sister-in-law. My Experience with The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Foaming Cleanser:
My Skin Type: Sensitive Combination which tends to get dry patches in winters and oily patches in summers.
Packaging:
The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Foaming Cleanser comes in a pastel pink tube with black flip open cap. The facewash packaging looks very clean and no nonsense. it is travel friendly as well. However the product does get deposited around the cap and you need to clean it often. The product information is mentioned on the packaging.
Texture & Smell:
The facewash has thick creamy whipped texture and pearlescent look. It smells like floral powder. Smell is not overpowering and does not linger for long time.
Performance:
It is advertised as a brightening deep foaming cleanser and it is true to that claim. It foams nicely and turn into rich lather. When you massage for about a minute and then rise off, you are left with squeaky clean skin. It is similar effect that you get after ponds or dove foaming facewashes. But then it does strip away all the oils and skin feel stretchy afterwards and specially in winters the dryness become quite prominent. If I sue it twice a day everyday then it makes my skin dry. And that is why I like to use it as second cleanse after I remove my makeup and sunscreen with oil based remover. It can not clean makeup on it’s own so I would not recommend you to use it for that purpose. Although it gives an instant brightening effect but the effect is not long lasting.

In my opinion The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Foaming Cleanser is an average overpriced cleanser. It might work well for oily to very oily skin and also normal skin in hot humid weather but other than that I will not recommend it for anyone because it can dry out the skin. Definitely not for dry skin. It works very effectively as second cleanse after oil based cleanser buy if you do not wash/wipe off your oil cleanser and go directly with this cleanser then it leaves a sticky feeling behind and you need to use it twice. But Overall I do not like the feel after wash so it was a task for me to finish this which took ages. And make sure to wash it off completely otherwise it can irritate skin and give breakouts, I noticed it in my hairline.

Completely agree with you. I have a normal skin and it dries out my skin. Regret this purchase. It’s certainly overpriced, I could just buy ponds foaming face wash in a lower price.
