I love very light base for my everyday makeup so my base makeup mostly consists of bb/cc cream and compacts. So I try different compacts to find what is best fit for me. I have combination skin which tends to get dry-combination in winters. I love a good mattifying compact which doesn’t loo or feel heavy on skin. Today’s review in going to be about SUGAR As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact which I think (Not sure) is reformulated or re-branded by Sugar as Dream Cover SPF15 Mattifying Compact.

My Experience with SUGAR As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact:

Packaging:

Can we take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous packaging? it is matte, it is black and it has magnetic closure and a mirror, fancy eh!. This also comes with a sponge applicator which to be honest is one of the good quality ones. I love the packaging.

Texture & Coverage:

It has luxury finely milled soft texture. the powder is hard pressed and have very less kick-off in the pan. Which means it gives you feather light finish. with brush, not a lot of products gets picked up on brush and you get light coverage. If you use sponge applicator, you can get medium coverage. Since you do not pick up a lot of product in applicators, this will last you longer than your other powders.

SUGAR As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact comes in 3 shades: 01 Latte(For fair skin tones)

• 01 Latte (Light) : for Porcelain/ Fair Complexion
• 02 Cappuccino (Light-Medium) : for Light to Wheatish Complexion
• 03 Macchiato (Medium) : for Wheatish to Dusky Complexion

I have shade 01 Latte and it is good match. (MAC NC20 for reference).

Finish & Staying power:

SUGAR As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact gives very skin like yet matte finish. Also my face look more awake with this. This does not feel or look cakey even if you layer it up which is a good thing if you reapply powder throughout the day. I have combination skin and this keeps it opil-free for about 4 hours after that I can see dewyness peeking through. But with one touch up in between, it can survive office hours.

SUGAR As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact is good everyday compact. It is super light-weight and feels like almost nothing on skin. It give light to medium coverage and does not feel or look cakey on skin even upon layering. On good skin-days I can get away with only this on my face. For everyday makeup this makes good team with Sugar Goddess of Flawless BB Cream. If you are someone who like powder foundations or high coverage powders, you might not like this. I felt 699/- was steep for everyday compact but i’m happy the new version is cheaper and priced at 499-/ INR.

In my opinion SUGAR As Nude As It Gets SPF15 Compact is reformulated/re-branded/relaunched by Sugar as Dream Cover SPF15 Mattifying Compact and available at a lower price tag of 499/- INR and wider shade range. So i’m going to pick up the new version since the old version is not available anymore.
