My Experience with Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Sugar and Spice:

There are many blush palette options available from Makeup Revolution(now known as Revolution beauty). The reason I chose this one is because this has a perfect blend of warm and cool toned blushes and you can find nude, corals and pinks in the same palette. Let’s dive into details.

Packaging:

I have purchased this palette from revolution’s official site 2 years ago in 2018 so I have older packaging which was cheap black plastic palette with transparent lid which they changed in between(similar to their low-range eyeshadow palettes). This packaging is fragile as you can see the crack in my lid. This packaging was there only for sometime i don’t know why.

Revolution has now revamped the packaging again to the one similar to how they had originally. Now it comes in a black outer carton with black palette inside and the palette also features a mirror now. It looks sturdier as well. you can check new packaging here.

Shades:

Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Sugar and Spice contains:

6 matte blushes : one peachy nude blush, one pinky nude blush, one peach blush, one coral pink blush, one light pink and one deep fuschia blush

1 baked blush: cool toned pink blush.

1 baked highlighter: cool toned purple

Initially I thought, I can get away with using nude shades as bronzing shades but I can not, since those have pink and peach undertones and not bronze tones.

Texture & Pigmentation:

All shades from Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Sugar and Spice are non-chalky and easy to blend. All shades are pigmented, lighter shades have perfect pigmentation but deeper shades are extremely pigmented, so I would suggest going light-handed and slowly build up the colour.

Performance:

Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Sugar and Spice has good blend of warm and cool toned blushes. It has nudes, peach, coral, pink blushes in one palette. The blushes do not feel chalky at all and highlighter shade is blinding and gives wet looking finish. All the shades blend easily into skin and stay for good 9 hours. I wear these to office and they last all day. This makes a good option to travel with because of the shade options. All the blush shades can be worn in all season ans will flatter on most skintones. Alhtough the highlighter shade is not a universally flattering shade and it is not wearable in all seasons. I mostly wear the highlighter in winters or with cool-toned look and it looks stunning.

If I have to recommend one blush palette from drugstore brand, that would be Revolution Ultra Blush Palette Sugar and Spice. It is perfect travel companion and perfect for bridal kit and even for beginners because of the shade variety in it. It has perfect blend of warm and cool toned blushes and nude, coral,peach and pinky tones. The shades are super pigmented and highlighter is blinding and I suggest going light-handed with them. At this price point you can’t really complain and you get sale on Revolution beauty website quite often. Only con I find is the highlighter shade. I would have preferred instead of baked blush they could have included a warm toned or golden highlighter. That would have made the palette perfect 5/5. I still totally recommend it as you can see i’m close to hit pan on many shades.

In India price is costlier so I would recommend to order from revolution beauty’s official site if you have multiple products to try.
