ParachuteAdvansed DIY Hamper

Methi:

If your hair is craving a solution to its monsoon hair woes like frizz, static flyaways and limpness, look no further than the hydrating goodness of Methi.

DIY: Soak 2 tablespoons of Methi seeds overnight in 1 cup of water and blend into a paste the next day. Add the paste to ½ a cup of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of Parachute Advansed Hair Oil. Apply the hair mask to the scalp & hair ends, and leave it on for 30 minutes before washing it off.

Oats:

If you don’t want bad hair days to last the entire season,  make Oats your hair’s best friend. It will trap the moisture in and tame the frizz out in a jiffy!

DIY: Blend ½ cup Oats, 2 tablespoon of coconut oil, and ½ cup milk into a paste. Apply this hair mask to your scalp and you hair as well. These ingredients are enough for shoulder length hair. If you have longer hair, make sure you double it up!

Aloe Vera Gel:

The rainy months of humidity leave your locks parched. Quench your hair’s thirst with Aloe Vera- a natural humectant that attracts moisture and restores your hair’s hydration from within.

DIY: Blend in 3 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel with 3 tablespoons of Parachute Advansed Hair Oil using a fork (for shoulder length hair; double up the ingredients in case of long hair). Apply the gel on your hair and scalp. You could even wrap your hair up with a hot towel for the oil to penetrate deeper and faster into the scalp.

Shikakai Powder:

Make your hair strong from within with the Ayurvedic nourishment of Shikakai. With its strengthening, anti-fungal, and shine- promoting properties, no monsoon winds can stand a chance!

DIY: Mix 1 tablespoon of Shikakai powder with 1 cup of coconut oil. Shake vigorously, and let the mixture rest for 2 weeks. Keep shaking it in the middle as well. After 2 weeks, your Shikakai oil will be ready to use.

Till next time…take care…xoxo.

  4. Thank you so much for conducting this great giveaway contest. Here is my DIY monsoon hair care mask recipe, this mask always works for me 🙂 Here it goes.
“Mix almond oil, Parachute coconut oils, castor and honey in equal quantity and heat till it gets warm. Apply this to hair but avoid reaching the scalp as it gets oily in monsoons. Let the mask remain for 15-20 minutes and rinse your hair with shampoo.”

  5. This is the recipe I am using from years.. My mom told me about it and her mum told her about it 😉 My mum is from a village which is quite isolated from the city so they used to have very limited resources. But still every girl of the house managed to have such a lovely, shiny and long hair.. I also have the same (self obsessed.. he he… In a bowl I take ½ tsp of honey and coconut oil (sufficient to cover my waist length hair).. I divide my hair into 2 sections and literally just start slathering it onto my dry hair then I run a wide tooth comb through my hair just to distribute the oil evenly and make a tight braid. Allow this hair mask for 1 to 2 hours.. After that I go for shampooing followed by condition my hair.. My nani also used to wash her hair with buttermilk but I never did so 😉

  6. During monsoon, my hair tend to be frizzy and develop more split ends due to roughness. I can’t take this alarming condition of my crowning beauty so easily, thats why I ensure spending every weekend giving enough nourishment to my hair with some all natural home remedies.
One of the most effective and easiest one that suits my hair type is to —
MIX 3 TBSP OF COCONUT OIL WITH 2 TBSP OF HONEY AND 1 TBSP OF FRESH ONION JUICE. MASSAGE IT ON THE SCALP IN GENTLE STROKES AND CAREFULLY COMB HAIR TO DISTRIBUTE THE MASK EVENLY DOWN THE LENGTH OF HAIR. WASH THE HAIR OFF WITH A MILD SHAMPOO AFTER HALF AN HOUR.
This recipe gets back lost luster of my hair instantly and onion juice is said to contribute in hair regrowth too. Honey, as a super ingredient, nourishes dryness of my hair with deep moisturization and coconut oil is undoubtedly the nectar for hair to promote good health of scalp and hair shaft.

  10. Homemade Coconut Oil and Honey Hair Mask
    What you’ll need:
    1 tbsp. Organic Coconut Oil
    1 tbsp. Organic Raw Honey
    Sauce Pan
    Mixing Bowl
    Spoon
    Towel
    Shower Cap (optional)
    Step 1: Mix Ingredients Together
Mix the ingredients together and as an extra step to help your hair follicles open up, slightly heat the mixture up on a stovetop in a small sauce pan. Long or extra damaged hair? Just add a bit more of these ingredients.
    Step 2: Apply to Hair
The mask can be applied to dry or wet hair, although we’ve found that it’s easier applied to wet hair. Have a towel around your neck to protect your clothes and section your hair off. Apply generously from top to bottom, focusing on the ends where most damage occurs.

Step 3: Relax for 30-40 Minutes While Mask Soaks In
Wrap your hair in a bun and let the mask soak in for 30-40 minutes. While you wait for the mask to do its magic, flip through a magazine, read a book, or paint your nails to pamper yourself some more.

    Step 4: Rinse and Voila!
Wash the mask out in the shower using your regular shampoo and conditioner routine and voila! Soft, smooth, healthy hair.
