Clinique High Impact Mascara Review

I like dramatic lashes on me and that is why i like volumizing mascaras. There was a time when i would forget mascara most of the time and now sometimes i only wear mascara. Today I am going to review a high-end mascara which I have got as a freebie with my order. Lets read on to know my thoughts about Clinique High Impact Mascara.

My Experience with Clinique High Impact Mascara:

I have got a small kit free with my order which had mini Clinique High Impact Mascara. I have used it and finished it and ready to share my thoughts.

Packaging:

This Mascara comes in a deep dark green shimmery tube. The packaging feels and looks cheap to me except the color of the tube. The want is also pretty boring, simple, fat and tapered at end.

Shade & Consistency:

Clinique High Impact Mascara is black but not blackest black. I prefer my mascaras to be blackest black.

Formula is slightly on wetter side and hence feels pretty lightweight on eyes. Product gets accumulated at the tip many times so make sure to wipe extra on tube before applying.

Performance:

Clinique High Impact Mascara stings badly if you get it accidentally in your eyes. I poked my eyes so many times with the fat brush and when my eyes got watery, mascara which was still wet went in my eyes and it was a painful mess. So be careful. I do not like such fat brushes.

Coming to application, Clinique High Impact Mascara separates lashes nicely and gives them lengthening effect and slight curl and that is all it does. No volume what so ever. I have pretty nice lashes, I really wish it would have hold the curl better. It stayed put most of the days but the curl would not hold for more than 2 hours. I have noticed that when I applied 2-3 layers, the mascara would start to flake after about 5-6 hours which is not a pretty look.

Let me be brutally honest, If you really want to shell out money on an everyday mascara which gives slight color and length to your eyelashes, go ahead and grab Clinique High Impact Mascara. But this is definitely not my cup of tea. There are better mascaras at a cheaper price tag which perform better than this. So I would neither repurchase nor recommend this.
