I have noticed this quite often that you order products from same range and everything is working really well except one dud. Spoiler alert, today THAT DUD is the focus of review. I have ordered and started using Mizon Snail Repair range products (facewash, serum, toner & cream) when my skin was going through a rough patch and was irritated. I have already reviewed serum and toner, let’s talk about Mizon Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser.

My Experience with Mizon Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser:

I was using The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash when my first started using snail mucin serum and toner. I have noticed improvements in my skin condition so when my TBS facewash was finished, I started using Mizon Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser. So let’s dive into details.

Smell, Texture & Consistency:

Mizon Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser is not fragrance free, it smells like floral talcum powder. The texture is smooth and consistency is quite thick. the facewash looks pearlescent white.

Performance:

Mizon Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser is very thick in consistency so you need very little amount per wash. If you use a lot then it takes a lot of effort to wash it off completely. You have to add water for it to lather and it lathers well. After washing off you get squeaky clean slightly stretchy feeling like you get from high ph foaming cleansers (Pond’s I’m talking about you). However when used in double cleanse after oil based cleanser, it if not very effective to clean oily residue, you need to go twice with this facewash.

I have looked for ph of this cleanser and it is said to be 8-9 which is quite high and not really good for you skin specially if you have dehydrated skin. High ph can make your skin dehydrated in long run. I use it mostly in night as second cleanse after removing my makeup with oil based cleanser and then follow it up with AHA toner which balances out my skin’s ph.

Final Verdict: 2/5

Mizon Snail Repairing Foam Cleanser is not what I expected it to be. You can not see benefits of snail mucin filtrate in a wash-off product so it will not do any miracles for your skin rather I found high ph quite distressing for my skin. Using a high oh cleanser can make your skin dehydrated in long run. Since I have sensitive skin, I do not prefer using harsh cleanser. I also avoid using high ph cleansers in morning. So this facewash is total dud for me. So from my side this is a complete NO.
