I have combination skin and Compact is one makeup product I use a lot. Sometimes(Read almost everyday :P) when I’m feeling lazy, I just apply my moisturiser, set my face with compact and I’m good to go. So I’m always on lookout for good compacts which has decent coverage and mattifying properties to handle oily zones of my combination skin and this makes me wanna try many options. Today Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Compact SPF23 is under my scanner. Read on to know if it is a keeper or a dud.

My Experience with Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Compact SPF23:
I am not gonna talk much about packaging, it is classy in white and sturdy and comes with a mirror and an applicator, rest you can already see in picture.
The applicator is useless and the worst I have come across. This picture is after 1 week use and I have not even washed it yet.
One thing I appreciate is that this range has 6 shades and I’m in shade Ivory Fair 01(I’m NC30-35). The shade has slight yellow undertones which is perfect for my mix undertone skin.
Texture of Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Compact SPF23 is very chalky, it is not finely milled. When you swipe applicator/finger over compact it crumbles and a little bit extra pressure and it broke in pan in very 3rd use 🙁 .
Though it feels light on skin, it does clog pores and how I’m saying this is because this is the only compact that has broken me out till date. It smells nice. I have sensitive skin and it broke me out everytime I have used this compact(may be due to talc or fragrance). Coverage of Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Compact SPF23 is low. It can not provide good coverage on its own. It gives slight brightening effect.
Coming to staying power, Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Compact SPF23 does mattify the skin but one day I look upclose in the mirror and it was clinging to my very mild dry patch on skin(you can also see it clinging to minor scratch on my hand). So this is definitely a big NO for dry skinned ladies. I do not very oily patches but then too I could feel my skin getting oily within 2 hr time so it is a major NO for oily and combination skin as well.
Final Verdict: 1.5/5
For me Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Compact SPF23 failed in every aspect be it sponge applicator or texture or staying power. The worst thing is that it broke me out everytime I applied this specially directly over moisturiser and I could not figure out why because ingredient list is missing. It clings to dry patches so not for combination and dry skin, it can not control oil for more than 2 hours so not for oily skin. So if you are blessed with normal skin which is not sensitive and you do not have major pigmentation(In short you have nearly perfect skin), you can go for it otherwise I would rather go for Lakme Radiance Complexion Compact(Maroon one)which is priced at half and serves better :). Only positive I could find is shade range and SPF23. So basically it is a DUD for me.
So this is my opinion about Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Compact SPF23 and it might be different from other because I have seen raves and good things about this one. What is your take on this? share in comment section below.
Till next time…take care…xoxo
