If you have been a regular reader, you know by now how much I love colored liners. Whereas I prefer pencil liners for everyday since they offer better water-proofing and ease of application, I do like liquid ones for precise and neat application. So I do keep both liquid and pencil colored liners in my vanity. Today I am going to review Lakme Absolute Shine Line Eye Liners.

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Shine Line Eye Liner:

Lakme Absolute Shine Line Eye Liner comes in 5 shades : Liquid Gold, Shimmery Bronze, Steel Grey, Sparkling Olive and Black. Out of which I have 3 shades bronze, olive and gold. Lets see how these perform.

Packaging:

Lakme Absolute Shine Line Eye Liners come in a color coded packaging. The applicator is a thin long brush which gives precise application and control. I like the packaging.

Consistency, Finish & Pigmentation:

These eyeliners are not too runny not too thick in texture and hence are quite pigmented. However you need atleast 2 coats for full color intensity. These are single coats in the picture. The finish is metallic and not glittery.

Performance:

Lakme Absolute Shine Line Eye Liners dry quickly so layering is not a hassle with these. These stay all day without smudging or flaking if you do not rub your eyes intensely. These liners can survive a little bit of rubbing as well. I have used the black variant twice from my friend and it stings badly in my eyes and instantly tears start to roll down. That is not the case with these shades but sometimes I do get slight stinging sensation in my eyes if i go anywhere near my waterline so be careful with that.

Lakme Absolute Shine Line Eye Liner are water-resistant but not water-proof, which means these will not run down and give racoon eyes if you splash water on them but if you rub your eyes after splashing water, these do come-off easily. These can be removed easily with plain water & Cleanser.

Lakme Absolute Shine Line Eye Liner range has very pretty shades which compliment indian skin and indian eyes. These are mostly available on sale and easily accessible. The application is nice and the shades are safe to play with. However if you are a lens wearer or someone with sensitive eyes, be careful with the application. do not let these get into eyes or waterline else it can give stinging sensation. I have finished the olive one and almost done with the bronze one and I’ll repurchase these. If you are looking for cheaper alternative, do checkout Elle 18 color pop liners.
