If you have been a regular reader, you know that I love The body Shop bath and body and in recent times I have tried their skincare range and have started loving many products from it. I have had very good experience with youth concentrate and youth cream from The Body Shop Drops of Youth range. I wanted to try toner from the body shop Drops of youth range but I found out there is no toner but only essence. So I have decided to try The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Youth Essence Lotion. I have just finished it and ready to share my views on it.

My Experience with The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Youth Essence Lotion:
If you are familiar with korean skincare you kight have heard about essences. Essence is a product which is slightly thicker in consistency than toner but thinner than a serum and that is exactly how it is intended to be used after cleanser, toner and before serum if you follow elaborated routine. I adjust the use according to seasons. I have combination skin which tends to get dry patches in winter and oily patches in summer.
How I use it:
Summer: as a single product in place of toner & Serum.
Winter: after toner and before serum fro extra hydration boost. Or just as a thick toner, before serum.
Spring: after toner, as a serum.
Packaging:
TBS Drops Of Youth Youth Essence comes in green colored semi-transparent plastic bottle with matte black screw open cap. It has a stopper with hole to dispense the product. The packaging is fuss-free and leak proof.
Texture & Consistency:
Drops Of Youth Essence has gel like texture and runny lotion like consistency which is perfect for essence.
It gets absorbed into skin quickly and does not leave any sticky feeling behind. This is how it looks after patting and massaging into skin.
Performance:
The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Youth Essence does feel quite lightweight on skin and can serve multiple purposes as i mentioned in the section how i use it. I like that i can adjust the usage as per weather. It is a good product for hydrating skin and make it look more plump. However it is not as effective as youth-concentrate and I do not expect it to be. I do not feel that is it a must have product in skincare routine but if you are looking for a product which can simplify your routine then this is a good option. A little goes a long way. This bottle lasted me for almost 8-9 months. It did not irritate my sensitive skin whatsoever.
Final Verdict: 4/5
The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Youth Essence Lotion does what it claims. It hydrated the skin and gives it healthier and plumper look. It does not do anything for the signs of aging, you need something stronger than this for that purpose. The product can be used as toner, essence and serum based on your skintype and weather condition. This worked as a multi-purpose product but nothing extra-ordinary. I will not repurchase it.

This one really looks so promising, would love to try it out.
sure…i hope you like it 🙂
Have a nice day.
I don’t follow any elaborate or multi layer Skincare as my skin is very acne prone. I will probably skip this
i like to use it as replacement for toner and serum specially in summer to avoid too many products.. it is good option if the skin is deydrated… i agree with keeping it simple for acne prone skin..
I havent tried this range but this looks good for everyday use.
it is good specially in summers when we dont want to layer many products… it works 2-in-1 as toner and serum…
