Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel Review & Swatches

Heylo Everyone, I’m back here after a while. I was absent from here because I was busy with having some family time. I hope you all have had a great Diwali 🙂 Anyhow coming to today’s post, Wet n Wild is one brand that I have always wanted to try but sadly like many other drugstore brands it is not easily available in India. So when Mr husband has gone for a short super busy office trip to USA, he did not get much time for shopping but he had managed to pick up 2 Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gels, one nail art tool kit and 2 Rimmel London liquid lipsticks…yep that’s all he could get and my US makeup haul dreams were crashed 🙁 but still something is better than nothing and honestly seeing how busy he was on trip I wasn’t expecting this much either 😀 . Today’s review is about Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel.

My Experience with Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel:

I have not tried any gel nailpaints because I hardly go to salon Manicures. And at home gel nails were too much fuss for me with UV light and elaborated application process. So When I saw Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel I was happy because it is No UV light Gel Nailpolish, which means you do not need any UV light treatment with these for gel like finish.

Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel comes in a huge bulky bottle and you get whopping 13.5ml quantity. The applicator is perfect even for small nails. I have 2 shades All that Jazzy and Pardon My Peach. All that Jazzy is like liquid gold shimmer on your nails while Pardon My Peach is perfect Peach shade.

What I love about Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel:

• Stunning colors on your nails.
• Fast Drying so layering is not time consuming.
• Gives Gel like finish.
• looks classy.
• Doesn’t chip.
• Removal is easy.

What I don’t like about Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel:

• These lack in pigmentation and minimum 2 coats are required for opaque finish.
• Gel like shine starts to fade after 2 days and then it looks like regular nailpolish.
• 2 weeks claims are far fetched, if you do house chores then it starts to fade from tips from 3rd day onwards.
• Some shades even peel off if you do much work in water.

Final Verdict: 3.5/5

Overall Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel is average on my scale. The shades are gorgeous but definitely dupable and you get better quality nailpaints at this price. Pardon My Peach starts to fade from tips after 2 days but I absolutely love Pardon My Peach as it is one of the best peach shades I have come across, so I recommend it. On the other hand All that Jazzy is not one of the best gold nailpaint around but it has better staying power and survives whole week.

Nevertheless these make good drugstore brand nailpaints and have some really gorgeous shades so you won’t be disappointed by the quality.
