Votre Day Moisturizing Gel SPF35 Review
Heylo Everyone,
How’s your start of the week? I’m asusual having Monday-blues 😛 what a cliche!!! 😀 (I know what a drama queen I am :D) So far I’m doing good and yeah finally having “butterflies in stomach” feeling because the countdown has begun for D-day ^_^
Meanwhile I’m trying to do my part for you guys 🙂 Today I’m here with Votre Day Moisturizing Gel SPF35 Review.
Votre is a little lesser known brand and honestly few months back I have not even heard about it. Fabbag has introduced me to this brand Votre when they have sent a sample of Votre Pore Shrink Toner Hydra Mist(Read review of toner here). And since then i have has a little faith in the brand.
I have received Votre Day Moisturizing Gel SPF35 as a full-size product in my july fabbag(See the post here). It was monsoon that time so i have immediately gave this one a try. Read on to know if it has worked for me…
Packaging:
Packaging of Votre Day Moisturizing Gel SPF35 is white translucent tub with screw-open lid. Product name, ingredient-list etc is mentioned in white font on blue colored stickers. To be honest i find this packaging boring. And I’m not a big fan of tub packaging when it comes to anything which I have to apply on face 🙁
Texture & fragrance:
As the name Votre Day Moisturizing Gel suggests it is a gel with no added color and fragrance. Consistency is a bit on runnier side(not too much runny though).
Price and Shelf-life:
810/- INR for 30 ml. 30 months of shelf-life.
Ingredients:
Performance of Votre Day Moisturizing Gel SPF35:
I have combination skin which is quite moody in monsoon so I prefer to use gel-based facial moisturizers. Texture is a bit on runnier side so it spreads easily on face and gets absorbed into skin easily. But if you try to layer it , it can give you the feeling of a micro film on face which I never appreciate. It hydrates skin quite well. I have used it in July, August and September month. When winters start to approach and that time also it served its purpose the best but onset of October it couldn’t provide required moisture and i don’t complain. SPF 35 is good for sun in monsoon but not sufficient for summers(atleast for me) .
What I like about Votre Day Moisturizing Gel SPF35:
- perfect for oily skinned and combination skinned beauties for summers and monsoon.
- hydrates skin and gets absorbed in skin pretty well.
- doesn’t break out my sensitive skin.
- don’t have added color or fragrance.
- Soothes irritated skin.
- Travel-friendly packaging.
- Provides perfect base for makeup.
What I Don’t like about Votre Day Moisturizing Gel SPF35:
- Tub packaging.
- SPF 35 is not sufficient for me in summers.
- Layering it can make a film on skin.
- Costly.
Final Verdict:
Overall it is perfect for oily/combination skinned beauties for summers and sticky monsoon days but dry skinned beauties must definitely stay away from it. Also 810/- INR is quite costly for a moisturizing gel as it doesn’t do anything special. Not a repurchase for me at this price but will pick it up if spotted on discount. If you find it on discount do give it a try.
So Ladies this is how i feel about Votre Day Moisturizing Gel SPF35. Have you ever used Votre Day Moisturizing Gel SPF35? If yes, what is your opinion about it? If no, would you give it a try?

the price would be the thing which would not make me buy it.
Mmmm too many cons. I agree, in summer SPF30 isn’t enough. Even now I wear SPF50 and we’re heading towards winter.
i bet oily skin will love this!
This is the first time I am hearing about this brand. Great review.
