SUGAR PLUSH HOUR MATTE LIPSTICKS : REVIEW & SWATCHES

SUGAR Cosmetics is on the roll with new launches and it is getting hard for me to catch up the pace(Or i’m just simply being a lazy bummm :D). So Sugar cosmetics has recently launched new lipstick range called as Sugar Plush Hour Matte Lipsticks and being a Prive member I got a chance to get one lipstick free on order of 999/- before the launch. And when I used it I thought why not order them all as I had quite a lot reward points to redeem as well :D. My Experience with Sugar Plush Hour Matte Lipsticks:

Packaging:

Sugar Plush Hour Matte Lipsticks comes in a beautiful cyan and blue outer carton with SUGAR’s signature print on it. The lipstick is housed inside a matte black square shaped case. it is super lightweight, compact and  travel-friendly.

All 6 shades from the range are stunning, shades marked with *** are my favorites.

01 Cherry Jane (Cool Toned Red).
02 Teaker Bell (Brown Burgundy). ***
03 Minnie Mauve (Rose Mauve). ***
04 Powerbuff Girls (Muted Reddish Brown). ***
05 Berry Boop (Deep Berry).
06 Little Bo Peach (Soft Peach). ***

Texture & Pigmentation:

Velvety matte finish with full opaque pigmentation in one swipe. All shades go on smooth on lips without tugging and pulling except 2 which are 04 powerbuff girls and 06 little bo peach, these 2 shades do tug on lips and you have to work to get the pigmentation. Layering does not feel heavy but it does give a little waxy feel when layering much. The formula is really comfortable on lips and it is not drying like Sugar It’s Pout Time Vivid Matte lipsticks.

Staying Power:

Now this is the star quality or USP of these lipsticks. When freshly applied, these tranfer very little and once set, the transfer is almost negligible. You won’t see it on cups or glasses. Though if you having oily food mean you might notice this on spoons but from lips you will still see so much lipstick left and nothing sort of disaster. Good staying power of about 8 hours for me.

Sugar Plush Hour Matte Lipsticks are total winner for me. Good pigmentation, amazing staying power, stunning and unique shades, comfortable non-drying formula, almost transferproof velvety matte finish, all these qualities make these lipsticks a great bargain at 499/- INR. Totally loving these.

Update:

After 4-5 months, the lipstick bullets got very dry and started falling off the case. Also the texture got super dry and started tugging on lips a lot.
