I’m not really a foundation user, it took me 3 years to finish this 30ml foundation 😀 I shared my haul post 4 years back, so you know :D. Not because I don’t like it but I mostly use only compact or bb/cc cream as base makeup. But since I attended quite a lot of functions lately and my skin not behaving the best, so I used it a lot and managed to finish it. So lets see how MUA Matte Foundation Velvet Smooth Long-lasting Finish has worked for me…
Price & Quantity:
£2 (almost 250/- INR) for 30ml.

My Experience with MUA Matte Foundation:
MUA Matte Foundation Velvet Smooth Long-lasting Finish comes in a matte black tube with nozzle like opening and black cap. shade name is written on sticker which cam off after a while. The packaging becomes messy as the product smears all over the nozzle sometimes.
I have shade 01 soft sand which might look little light but when applied and blended on face it looks like second skin. I absolutely love this foundation. It is not really matte rather it give slight dewy finish which I like. And it turns and stays matte all day when set with loose powder. This has medium coverage which is buildable. This does not clig to dry patches of skin.
You have to really make an effort to blend this properly. I mostly use my fingers and find that it behanves best that way, other that that stippling brush also serves well. This did not behaved well with sponge. MUA Matte Foundation minimizes the redness on my face and gives evened out natural skin finish without looking cakey even on layering.
Here are few pictures where I’m wearing this foundation:
You can checkout the videos here and here to see it in action.
Final verdict: 4/5
MUA Matte Foundation is discontinued on official website but if they relaunch it, it is definitely a worth try. I love the natural finish this gives to skin and feels like second skin. It has dewy finish which can turn matte when set with loose powder. I love it as it does not feel heavy on skin and photographs well. Only con i feel is it is a little hard to blend with sponges and brushes. Fingers works the best for blending and stippling brush also works well but you have to be super quick. One Tip: moisturize your face before putting any makeup on 🙂
Till next time…take care…xoxo.
