Maybelline Lip Smooth Color Bloom Pink Blossom Review

How you all doing..? What are your plans for the weekend? I have mixed feelings about this weekend. I’m sad as my Beau is going on 1 month long official trip away from me 🙁 And I’m trying to cheer myself up as my friends are planning for a mini shopping trip 🙂 Anyways I wish you all a happy weekend. Today I’m going to review a product which I’m totally in love with. I’ve been eyeing this product for a long time and I finally purchased it and since then I’m totally in love-struck with it. So the product is Maybelline Lip Smooth Color Bloom Pink Blossom.

Price: 125/-(Though their site says 110/- but they have increased the price.

My take on the product:

Packaging:

It comes in a pretty hot pink coloured stick like tube packing which is totally girly and I Like it. Cap is quite sturdy and this makes it travel friendly. The tube is very sleek and easily fits in trouser or jeans pockets so every girl’s gonna love it.

Product Experience:

Just one word awesome. The product looks like ordinary white balm as you can see in the pics.

But as soon as you apply it on your lips….pooofffff magic..It adapts to pink color by reacting to PH and color of your lips. Pink color it adapts is very close to your lip color. Check the pic with one bare lip and one has pink blossom on it.

Color payoff:

Color payoff is quite awesome. Single swipe gives you proper coverage and you can build it up by applying multiple swipes and the color pay off will be like any creamy lipstick sheen. I find it perfect when you want hassle free touch-ups on your shopping trips without going to restrooms 😛 Or you don’t wanna carry any bag. 🙂

Texture:

Texture is very light and soft. It glides like a dream on your lips. Even when you apply multiple swipes it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. It is a balm so it does transfer a bit. But not much… I have seen lipsticks which transfer more than this.

Staying power:

Staying power is good given that it is a lip balm. It applied it post breakfast and then it stayed for almost 3 hrs meanwhile I had water and little bit of snacks and tea. Post lunch I wiped my lips with tissue so balm came off but a pretty pink tint was still on lips looking almost natural.

Pros:

• Very good color payoff.
• Creamy and moisturizing.
• Adapts to your lip-color.
• Claims are almost true.
• Even long time after applying, the color doesn’t fade much and fades evenly and leaves a nice pink tint.
• Very pocket friendly.
• Lipstick like finish in multiple swipes.
• Contains SPF 15.

Cons:

• Transfers a little bit.(though not exactly a con for me)
• Have to reapply it. (Again I don’t mind reapplying my magic balm 😛
• Not for dry and chapped lips.

Will I repurchase: Definitely yes, I will buy peach bloom also.

Do I Recommend: Yes, I think everyone should give it a chance atleast once. It is really great product amongst the crowd of lip-tints and lip balms.
