Hello everyone, back again with another nailpolish review and swatches. Maybelline somehow is my favorite drugstore brand. I love their products a lot but not the product I’m reviewing today. To know why let’s see review & Swatches of Maybelline Colorshow Bright Sparks Glowing Wine nailpaint.

My Experience with Maybelline Colorshow Bright Sparks Glowing Wine:
Maybelline Colorshow Bright Sparks nailpaint comes in a transparent cylindrical sturdy glass bottle. it is sleek, easy to carry and travel friendly. Also damage proof to great extent.
Glowing wine is beautiful wine shade with very evident pink metallic tone to it. The pink in it grabs the light and looks beautiful.
Consistency of the nailpaint is not too runny and not too thick. It spreads easily and dries in 1-2mins and you need minimum 2 coats for opaque finish.
BUT after 2-3 months the formula becomes thicker and difficult to dry. I waited for almost 10mins after 1st coat and then applied second coat and then waited for another 30mins before going to sleep. And next day i still woke up with hair imprints on my nails which is a pet-peeve for me. One time i even used quick dry drops just to be extra-cautious still same disaster.
Staying power is same as normal colorshow range. It stays good for 2 days and then starts to fade from tips. If you go beyond 2 coats then it can chip also.
What I like about it:
- beautiful wine shade with strong pink metallic tone.
- Travel friendly packaging.
- Staying power.
What I don’t like about it:
- Same formula and staying power as normal colorshow range with extra price.
- Formula changes after sometime and becomes difficult to dry.
- Gets hair and fabric imprints even if you let it dry for good 1 hour.
Final Verdict: 2/5
Maybelline Colorshow Bright Sparks Glowing Wine is beautiful shade but with average formula and staying power. The formula for bright sparks range was supposed to be better than normal colorshow range hence the additional price but it is in reality worse. I would prefer normal colorshow formula anyday over this.
I am pretty disappointed by bright sparks range formula. It is a shame because this range also had very special shades. I am definitely not gonna recommend this because obviously you can not finish nailpaint in 2-3 months.

True Ana, This seems to be the issue with this range altogether, I also have 2 shades from this and same problem with both.
