My Experience with Maybelline Colorsensational Bold Matte Mat 2:

Lets do not go into details much about packaging. It’s like any other maybelline lipstick with matte orange cap.

Maybelline Colorsensational Bold Matte range had shades of bright coral, orange and pinks. This particular shade Mat 2 is the most unique from the range and very difficult to describe. It is bright coral with good mix of pink and orange undertones. On my skin it looks bright coral but when I get tanned it ends to shift more towards orange side on me. this is super gorgeous and many of my friends and family purchased it after seeing it on me. And you can see in pictures how less product was left on the bullet when I clicked pictures and I finished it fully, I mean FULLY dug out the product with brush too :D.

So now that you know how much i love it, lets talk about texture. It is not matte, not even semi-matte and it never sets to matte finish but it is not overly creamy as well. It is slightly creamy, glides beautifully and sits comfortable on lips without feeling waxy or heavy on lips even after layering. This does transfer due to creamy formula and fades evenly leaving a strong tint on lips which makes it look like lipstick is still on your lips.

It stays for good 6 hours with nipping and sipping and even after a full meal you’ll see a very string color tint on lips giving the illusion of lipstick on your lips, so no more quick touchups and that is why i love it more. The tint is more pinky coral.

I apply it like my other creamy/creamy-matte lipsticks : apply-blot-apply-blot-apply(-blot) and it stays longer.

Maybelline Colorsensational Bold Matte Mat 2 is probably the only lipstick that I have repurchased. I love it to the core. It brightens up my face, just kohl and this lipstick and i’m good to go, no other makeup needed. It is discontinued in india recently but still available in some other countries. If you can get your hands on it, go for it. It is not matte but still i love it.
