The Body Shop Shower Gel Review : Pink Grapefruit & Moringa

Little story time…So if you don’t know already, I love The Body Shop bath and body products a lot. I stock them mostly in seasonal sale(50%). I used to use a lot of different body washes and I used to think the body shop shower gels are costly so never used to buy them. BUT when I first time bought TBS shower gel (in sale ofcourse) along with The Body Shop loofah and then my perception changes. 250ml bottle lasted me almost 5-6 months whereas regular bodywashes get over in 2 months. Now that is worth the bucks deal and now I’m hooked onto TBS bath and body products. I try and shuffle fragrances a lot and still i haven’t tried all of them. I still try and switch to other bodywashes if I get bored but nothing beats my love for TBS shower gels. Today I’m reviewing one fruity and one floral scent from The body Shop Shower gel range. Presenting review of 2 of the The body shop Shower gels  :Pink Grapefruit and Moringa.

Price, Quantity & Shelf-life:

325/- INR for 250 ml. I bought these from TBS store in HK in offer 25HKD (approx 200 INR) per piece.

My Experience with The body shop shower gels: Pink Grapefruit & Moringa:

The packaging is fuss free,  transparent bottle with black matte flip-open cap. You can see the facewash from outside the bottle. Cap shuts tightly and that can give a issue to long nails sometimes. Travel friendly and sleek.

Consistency & Fragrance:

Consistency of both TBS shower gels is medium-runny gel like but not as runny as many other shower gels.

TBS pink grapefruit shower gel has a spicy bitter grapefruit fragrance, not something which everyone will like. So sniff the tester before buying. TBS moringa shower gel smells of moringa, rather string smell and it will leave your bathroom smelling amazing after bath.

The Body Shop shower gels are said to be soapfree though I can see SLS in ingredient list. But they do feel non-drying and mild on skin. They do not leave skin stretchy after bath.

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel:

TBS Pink grapefruit shower gel can be a bit drying in winters but other than that it leaves skin non-stretchy. It is more of a summer fragrance so i prefer this one in summers. The smell lingers for about an hours then fades away.

The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel:

TBS Moringa shower gel leaves skin moisturized and it is a fragrance which can be used all year around. The smell lingers for 2-3 hours and if I use it with body lotion(review here) or body butter from same range, it lingers for good 5-6 hours then fades.

Final Verdict: 4.9/5

The Body Shop Shower gels are really mild on skin, they do not make skin extra dry and stretchy. These lather amazingly specially with The Body Shop loofah and a very little product is needed. These last for good 3-4 months even if you use twice a day. Totally worth the bucks given the quantity and how long it takes to get over. Totally recommended.
