Lakme Eyeshadow Quartets has been around for quite some time(years), lakme lauched these way before Charlotte Tilbury Quads :D. Before they used to come in old plum/maroon lakme packaging and then later lakme relaunched them as 9 to 5 range in blush pink packaging. Few days back I have reviewed Lakme Eyeshadow Quartet Desert Rose which I reach for quite often. Today’s review is going to be about another variant from same range Lakme 9 to 5 Eyeshadow Quartet Tanjore Rush.

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Eyeshadow Quartet Tanjore Rush:
I have older packaging. Lakme relaunched these in new packaging as part of 9 to 5 range but not sure if they have reformulated the shadows also. Let’s dive into details.
Packaging:
Lakme eyeshadow quartet comes in a small pastic packaging with tranparent lid. The pan size is good enough o dip your fingers and brushes into. There is one double eneded sponge applicator is practically useless.
Texture & Pigmentation:
The shadows are buttery to touch and pigmentation is really good for all 4 shades.
How I use it:
All the shadows in the Lakme Eyeshadow Quartet Tanjore Rush have metallic shimmery finish. And as many people suggest, it is best to apply satin/metallics with finger and not brushes. I use these shadows for super quick everyday look for office as well as parties. This is how I like to use it- I use my fingers to apply these and then use an angled blending brush to blend the crease and use pencil brush to line my lower lash line. I use different combinations of all 4 shades and love the look I get every time.
Performance:
Lakme Eyeshadow Quartet Tanjore Rush performs good for 9 to 5 range. I do not use eye primer and I do not have super oily lids. In summer time I do experience creasing sometimes if I do not set my eyes with powder or have a heavy moisturizer underneath. Olive green shade has golden shimmer in it which causes fallout and can smear on face throughout the day.
Golden shade is bit too dark to be used as highlight shade for inner corner and I do need to use my highlighter for that purpose.

Lakme 9 to 5 Eyeshadow Quartet Tanjore Rush is good option for someone who is beginner and want to experiment with colors colors but simple option to start a cohesive look. I love it a lot and I use it for my office makeup. This is nothing over the top that you can not wear it to office. You will miss a highlighting shade in palette specially if you do not wear highlighter on daily basis. Olive green shade is pretty but it does cause glitter fallout on face during the weartime. I prefer desert rose over this one.
Now something I do not like is the increased price. There are many cheaper options available these days. It is high time they get rid of that sponge tip applicator. But on the brighter side you can bag it at discount quite often. Also if you are someone for whom matte shadows are must in a palette then this is not for you.
