I have received Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer Rhubarb in My Envy Box October 2015. Last winters I have used it a lot and now since there is alight chill in the air, I have taken this baby out again. I love tinted lipbalms and I always keep one in my handbag. Read on to know my views on Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer Rhubarb.

My Experience with Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer Rhubarb:

Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer Rhubarb has typical lip-balm packaging BUT it has only twist-up mechanism if you accidentally twist it up more than required then it is like wastage as it won’t go back if you twist back.

As soon as you open the cap you see a dark maroon lipbalm with micro shimmer in it. On application the colour comes out like berry red and the shimmer is very fine. The texture is smooth and lipbalm glides easily on lips. Pigmentation is bang on in single swipe and even if you layer this, it doesn’t feel heavy on lips.

It keep lips moisturised for good 3-4 hours and stays on lips for 4-5 hours with minimum sipping and munching. Since it is a lipbalm so obviously it transfers but you can still see the tint after 4-5 hours which is pretty good for a lipbalm.

It gives minty cooling sensation which lasts for about 5-10 minutes. I like the minty sensation but if you are not font of such feeling then give it a skip.

Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer Rhubarb is intensely pigmented lipbalm with microshimmers in it. The colour is beautiful. It keeps lips moisturiosed for good 3-4 hours BUT This will not heal dry chapped lips and colour stays for 4-5 hours. It serves the purpose. The only con I find is one way twist mechanism, Price(It is PRICEY) and availability(Really hard to find easily in India). This is a pro of subscription bags/boxes that you get to try products which are not available in India easily.
