This might go on for a few days. but anyhow today I’m going to share my review on The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Butter.It is a cult favorite for many so read on to know if it made it my my favorites or not…

My Experience with The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Butter:

I have mentioned this before also that I love body lotion and body butters with Cocoa butter scent, so this was an obvious buy for that reason when I spotted it on 50% on TBS online sale :).

Packaging:

Coming to the packaging, no matter how almost everyone who reviewed this baby have mentioned that its tub packaging is unhygienic BUT I feel this is the most practical packaging for a body butter because they have thick cream texture so tub packaging makes it convenient to use unless you have all the time in the world to squeeze the life out of tube or bottle to get body butter out :D. I have not seen all body butters in tub packaging so far except Palmer’s cocoa butter(and that has it’s flaws as well). So I’m in peace with this kinda packaging and they have travel sizes as well :). And I reuse the tub to store my jewelry when it’s empty 😉

Scent:

The fragrance is not sweet cocoa like normally coca butter body lotions/butter have, it is rather nutty cocoa scent which might not be pleasant for some specially who are not fan of nutty or cocoa scent. I like it. The smell lingers for 2-3 hours but not overpowering. You can smell it if you sniff your skin really close.

Formula & Texture:

The texture of The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Butter is rich creamy butter like. The formula is quite rich and moisturizing but it spreads easily and gets absorbed into skin without much effort which makes me love it more.

Staying Power:

This keep my skin moisturized throughout the day. I usually apply it in morning and night post shower but if anyday I skip night shower and do not apply this then too my skin does not feel parched or dehydrated. Very less quantity is required for whole body. With twice a day usage on whole body, this 200ml tub lasted me for almost 3 months. This doesn’t give me greasy/slippery feeling when I sweat out at gym or zumba which some bodylotions do. I sometimes apply this on my dry feet and hands and they feel relieved ;).

Final Verdict: 4.9/5

TBS Cocoa Butter body butter is love, I would have given it 5/5 but minus for the price factor. I stock it in sale time and this one is the first one to go out of stock most of the times. I absolutely love it. It keeps my normal skin very well moisturized and healthy looking. This is specially for very dry skin so obviously it might be a bit heavy for normal and oily skin in summers. For winters it is perfect for all skin types. And if you have very dry skin, you can use it all year around 🙂
