I love nude lipsticks a lot, and finally getting a grip of reviewing them here on the blog. Today I’m here with review & swatches of MAC Matte Lipstick Mehr. MAC Mehr is super duper famous lipstick which literally needs no introduction. But is it suitable for all skintypes? Is it worth the hype? We are going to talk all about it in today’s review.

My Experience with MAC Mehr Lipstick:
MAC Mehr is one of the very popular shades from MAC Matte range. It is a permanent shade. Let’s dive into details.
Packaging:
MAC Mehr comes in a typical MAC shiney black bullet with very tiny golden shimmer print. The bullet is not color-coded. The outer carton comes color-coded in new packaging. The one I have is older one.
Shade:
MAC Mehr is described as dirty blue pink by MAC but i would say there is slight warmth to it as well. It is a very beautiful cool toned pinky nude with very little warmth to it. The shade looks flaterring on Light to light-medium skintones but will probably washout deeper and warmer skintones.
Texture & Pigmentation:
Mehr is comfortable matte in texture which sets to matte finish after sometime. the formula glides on lips without tugging and pulling. It does not feel heavy upon layering.
The matte formula is known to be intensely pigmented with comfortable no-shine matte finish. The pigmentation is opaque in single swipe. There is very slight sheen to it so I usually blot and layer this lipstick.
Performance:
I usually blot and layer my lipsticks to ensure long wear time. On me MAC mehr stays for good 5 hours with snacks and drinks in between. It does not survive a full meal. It does transfer on cups but very slightly. The formula is super comfortable to wear in all seasons. It does not dry out or flake-off or bleed during weartime. It does not accentuate or settle into liplines rather it looks comfortable and smooth on lips giving a healthy look. Overall i love it. Mehr doesnot stain the lips at all.
MAC Mehr Swatches: (NC 20-25)
You can see in swatches how it pulls sometimes cooler and sometimes a little warm on me. In summer it pulls warmer on me (like closeup lipswatches) and cooler in winters.
Final Verdict: 5/5
For me MAC Mehr is 5/5. I love the super comfortable light-weight formula of MAC Matte range. Matte finish is my favorite from MAC. The shade is cool-toned dirty pink nude and perfect for everyday wear. The shade will suit light and light to medium skin tones. Deeper and warmer skintones might find it a bit washing out so do swatch it before buying. I am almost 2/3rd done with my full-sized Mehr and will repurchase once I finish it. It is available in mini MAC too.
If you find MAC Mehr washing you out, try MAC Twig instead or even better and cheaper alternative Maybelline Touch of spice which is very close dupe of MAC Twig. Here are some dupes for Mehr.

do try twig then… twig is a tad bit brown than this and perfect if mehr washes you out…
Unfortunately mehr washes me out and my lipstick tube is just lying there unused. I haven’t tried Twig though. Have you tried retro ? It’s a lovely shade. I recently discovered your blog and I’m loving it already 🙂
