I got an Avon lipstick sampler about more than 2 years back when I has avon membership. I got it because I wanted to try multiple shades and the sampler was perfect. The sampler had 10 shades but I have given 3 away. Today we’re going to review Avon Ultra Color Matte Lipstick and share swatches of 7 shades from the range.

My Experience with Avon Ultra Color Matte Lipstick:
I have 7 shades to share with you today: Matte Brown, Matte Spice, Matte Amethyst, Matte Merlot, Matte Mulberry, Matte Chocolate & Matte Grape. 3 shades which I gave to my maa are Matte Garnet, Matte Lily & Matte Berry.
Packaging:
Since I have the sampler, i really can not say much about full-size packaging. But as far as i know the ultra matte range comes in a black bullet packaging with black cap which has transparent top.
Texture & Pigmentation:
Texture of Avon Ultra Color Matte Lipstick is creamy matte which is quite similar to Nykaa so matte range. The color is opaque in single swipe even for the light shades. There is no fragrance in the lipsticks which is again a plus. This does not feel heavy or cakey upon layering.
How I apply:
I usually apply creamy matte lipstick as blot-layer 3 times. This way the staying power can be increased and lipstick will be still there on lips even if it transfers.
Performance:
These lipsticks are creamy matte and tend to transfer. But if blot and layer it a couple of times, the staying power is increased and these last for about 4-5 hours with minimum fading if you take small sips and nips. These can not survive a full meal and you need to reapply. But i really find these are comfortable to wear and does not dry out lips. I do not mind reapplying these.

If you are someone who enjoys creamy matte lipsticks and want a lipstick which is comfortable to wear throughout the day, then Avon Ultra Color Matte Lipsticks are for you. I liked these a lot and managed to finish matte brown and matte spice. I would love to get a full-size of matte brown shade. Avon has one more range called perfectly matte which has powder matte lipsticks.
