About The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%:
Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% offers a lightweight, water-based formula that helps reduce signs of aging by brightening and balancing uneven skin tone. Unlike direct forms of vitamin C, this easy-to-use serum contains a water-soluble vitamin C derivative that converts into vitamin C once applied, giving it less irritation potential. And because it has advanced antioxidant properties, it also protects skin from the visual effects of damage caused by environmental stressors, helping to maintain a more radiant complexion.
Note: In its pure form, vitamin C is unstable in water. Ascorbyl Glucoside is a water-soluble derivative of vitamin C. It is much more stable in water but it is less potent than direct L-Ascorbic Acid.

My Experience with The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%:
The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% comes in uv protected brown coloured glass bottle with pipette applicator. The serum is water based and has very clear gel like consistency. It gets absorbed into skin and does not feel sticky at all. Be cautious not to overuse it, 2-3 srops are enough for face an dneck. Do not use full dropper like tiktok or insta reels 😀 just saying.
The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% in water soluble derivitive of vitamin C and considered as gold standard by The ordinary because of its stability and comfortable us. This does not have any conflicts with other products in skincare routine. But it is not as potent as ascorbic acid or L-ascorbic acid and hence not as effective as these.
Coming to performance I think this works but very slowly. I love the fact that it does not irritate my super sensitive skin and does not cause any purging. This does not have any conflict with any other ordinary products which makes it super easy to use. It is fool-proof and beginner friendly.
Final Verdict: 4.5/5
If you are a beginner to skincare and actives or you are planning to introduce vitamin c into your skincare routine, The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% is perfect for you. This helps your skin get accustomed to vitamin c without irritating it. Later you can slowly move to more potent vtamin c variants. It works on lightening dark spots and scars but very slowly. If you are already using L-ascorbic acid or ascorbc acid in your routine then this product is not for you, you will probably won’t notice any difference whatsoever. But overall beginner friendly and non irritating.
