The Body Shop Secrets of the World Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream was suggested to me by my sister-in-law. She had it and she asked me to try it, I used hers for about 3-4 days. I loved the feeling and got myself one in sale :). Let’s dive into details:

Packaging:

TBS Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream comes in a brown tub packaging which is quite similar to other products from “Secrets of the World” range by The body shop. This product is part of “Firming Ritual” from “secrets of the world” range. This comes in 2 sizes: 350ml and travel size of 50ml.

The bigger packaging has a white plastic inside pot which comes out once the product is empty.

Texture & Scent:

Texture of TBS Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream is more like gel cream or you can say water based cream. The scent is very refreshing and awakening. I feel energized by the fresh scent of green coffee with slight citrus notes. The scent lingers quite sometimes and i do not mind it.

Performance:

I use TBS Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream all over my body post bath. This is a body cream and is not supposed to be applied on face. It glides onto skin and gets absorbed quickly without leaving any sticky feeling behind. A little goes a long way. It does have a slippery feeling like silicon and that is because this has dimethicone quite up in ingredients list. However I did not face any skin irritation or pore clogging with this.

I have normal skin and I have noticed that in extreme dry windy winters here in Amsterdam, my skin feels dry by end of the day and I need to reapply this. Other than extreme winters, this provides enough moisture throughout the day and I do not need to reapply this. In summers this feel nice and hydrating because of it’s gel like texture. I do not get slippery feeling while working out and sweating it out. So this is not messy that way as well. Skin feels healthy and nourished throughout the day.

I absolutely love The Body Shop Secrets of the World Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream. This is light-weight, gets absorbed into skin and keeps it moisturized. It does not feel heavy on skin and hence feels great in summers and humid weather as well. If you have extremely dry skin then you might need to reapply this or get something heavier than this. For normal to oily skinned people this is great option all year around except extreme dry winters.

The price ratio for body butters(almost 1200/- for 200ml) vs Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream(3100/- for 350ml) is crazy in india. Here in netherlands the pricing is almost same for body butters(EUR 32 for 400ml/EUR 16 for 200ml) and Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream(EUR 26 for 350ml).
