I have combination skin which gets dehydrated and develops dry patches in winters. So I always look for non-greasy moisturizing and hydrating products which nourish my skin well. I have seen so many good reviews about The Body shop Oils of Life Range, so when I spotted the set of oil & cream for 50% off I bought it without a second thought. Today I’m going to review The Body shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil from The Body shop Oils of Life Skincare Collection.

My Experience with The Body shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil:
Since I bought the set, it came in a big hardboard box with oil and cream inside it. I loved the box, it can be reused as storage 🙂 Now let’s talk about the facial oil alone.
Packaging:
I find the packaging for TBS oils of life revitalising oil quite pleasing to eyes. A warm reddish brown ombre glass bottle with glass dropper inside to dispense the product. The color of the bottle reminds me of warmth of sunset. Perfect feeling specially in cold weather. The oil is pale golden in color.
Texture, Consistency & Smell:
TBS oils of life facial oil has loght-weight oil like consistency and texture is dry oil like which means it does not leave skin or fingers feeling greasy after application. It spreads easily onto damp skin.
TBS oils of life revitalising facial oil smells spicy and if your nose is sensitive or you are not fond of woody spicy scents then you might not enjoy the application part. I do kind of enjoy the scent specially in winters however it does feel overpowering on a extremely hot day. The smell does not linger for long after application.
Performance:
TBS oils of life facial oil can be used both at day and night time. I apply this facial oil on damp skin after I cleanse and tone my face. 2 drops are enough for face and neck. In winter nights I take 3 drops to give extra dose to skin and on hot days i take 1 drop. So adjust the dose as per your skin’s requirement. This bottle lasted me for about 10 months.
The oil gets absorbed quickly into skin and you start noticing the healthy effects on skin. I felt my skin was plumper, more lively and even toned when i was using it. Over the time my finelines under my eyes and pores did not look as drastic as before and skin looked healthier, plumper and more elastic. I used this in summers as well and it did not feel greasy at all. I use lesser quantity in summer. It kept my skin hydrated and healthy. Since I started using this before winters, I did not get any dry patches at all this winter.
Final Verdict: 5/5
The Body shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil is worth the hype and worth the price tag and if you get it in sale, it is a steal deal. I loved this so much that I have decided to do a separate post for the oil and cream. My skin is combination which gets oily t-zone in summers and dry patches around mouth, eyes and cheeks in winters. But this oil suited me all year long. I never felt it was too heavy for me and I always followed up with moisturizer as per weather. It never irritated my sensitive skin. So It does all it claims.
This oil can be a gem for normal, combination and dry skin however i can not say how it will suit extremely oily skin. I recommend this and I am definitely going to repurchase this.
