As I have mentioned before, I prefer using shampoo and conditioner from same range if available. Also I like changing shampoo-conditioner season wise. Like in winters i prefer anti-dandruff and moisturizing ones whereas in summers i like to use refreshing and purifying ones. Today I am going to review The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Refreshing Shampoo and conditioner duo.

TBS Fuji Green Tea Shampoo comes in a dark green transparent bottle with flip open matte black cap. Conditioner comes in a light green conditioner bottle with matte black cap. The cap is very tight and you need to be careful while opening it as it can break your nails. But in a way it is good travel friendly bottle.

Texture & Consistency:

TBS Fuji Green Tea Sahmpoo is transparent gel which has runny consistency. The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea conditioner is white mousse cream which spreads easily.

My Experience with The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Purifying Shampoo:

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea is a purifying shampoo which means it is supposed to remove all product buildup from hair and scalp & give squeaky clean hair and scalp. Which is exactly what it does. Purifying shampoos clean product buildup which happened overtime as result of using silicon based products, may hair styling products etc. So purifying shampoos can leave your hair a bit dry due to product buildup cleaning and that is why it is advised to always follow up a conditioner and preferably a hydrating one.

It lathers pretty well and smells refreshing. It gives squeaky clean feeling and gets rid of all sweat and grim and product buildup. I always followup with conditioner and my hair and scalp don’t feel dry. However in extreme winters this duo feels bit more drying so in winters I use it as a purifying shampoo once a month. I also use this to sooth my scalp if it is irritated or itchy and it works really well.

My Experience with The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Refreshingly Hydrating Conditioner:

TBS Fuji Green Tea conditioner is a hydrating conditioner like i mentioned accompanying the purifying shampoo. This is free from silicons so it does not feel silicony or slippery or extremely creamy but It is hydrating enough. It gives pretty balanced appearance to hair and hair feel non-drying. However in winters this does not feel moisturizing enough. It does not weigh down hair.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo conditioner dup is perfect for summer and humid weather but i will suggest it not to use in winter unless you have oily scalp or oily hair. I have normal hair and normal scalp which tends to get dry in winters and this duo alone is not enough. So I use this duo alternatively with my moisturizing shampoo-conditioner that time. Also The body shop does mention that this is for normal hair. Both shampoo and conditioner are free from silicons and dyes but Shampoo does contain SLS.

I love using it. It is very good purifying shampoo and hydrating conditioner duo and works better when used together. My hair feel cleaner than ever whenever i use this duo. This is one of the mildest one in this category I have used so far. I am definitely going to repurchase in summers.
