My love for The Body Shop is quite evident by now. The Body Shop launched or I should say re-launched their Carrot Collection for helping to reduce global food waste. I have purchased cleanser and moisturizer and almost done with both so here are my thoughts about The Body Shop Carrot Wash Energising Facial Cleanser.

My Experience with The Body Shop Carrot Wash Energising Facial Cleanser:

I love the good thought behind this range and it makes me feel good about using it. Carrots are rich in vitamin A and C and are said to give revive and boost dull and tired skin. let’s see if the product does what it claims to do.

Packaging:

The Body Shop Carrot Wash Energising Facial Cleanser comes in a lime green tube with carrot colored screw open cap. The packaging looks aesthetically pleasing to me and is 100% recyclable which i really like. Only thing i do not like about the packaging is screw open cap as product gets collected in cap and around screw neck frequently. I prefer flip open screw cap which is more convenient to use and product does not get deposited around opening as much.

Texture & consistency:

This carrot colored gel cleanser which has gel cream consistency which is not too thick or too runny. It has citrusy smell with hint of mint which gives a refreshing feeling.

Performance:

I use this cleanser twice a day as part of my morning and night routine. It lathers pretty well even with SLS/SLES and washes off easily. you need only pea size amount to wash face. It removes minimal makeup also but not high-coverage or waterproof one. However if I use cleansing balm or oil to remove makeup, then I need a bit extra quantity or need to go over twice to make sure my face is cleansed properly and no oily residues are left and my skin still does not feel dry after wash.

My skin feels and looks soft, clean and energizing without feeling dry. It does not rip skin moisture even after using it twice which is expected given glycerin is one of the prime ingredients.

The Body Shop Carrot Wash Energising Facial Cleanser is good everyday cleanser. 100ml tube lasts a long time as you need very little amount per usage. This does not irritate or dry out my sensitive combination skin which tends to get dry in winters. This also prevented my skin from developing dry patches. Overall it is good everyday cleanser which is SLS and paraben free and supports a good cause. It will suit all skin types.

I have already repurchased the duo as holiday set on sale(Quite a good deal) as I’m about to finish mine. I definitely recommend you to give it a try. Also if you want a change from TBS vit-e cleanser, this is another good alternative.
