Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Heylo Everyone,

How’s your week going so far? Today I’m here with Review of Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner. Schwarzkopf is one of the leading and established brands in hair industry.  I have used their moisture boost shampoo long back and like it but that time I was not a blogger so no review 🙂 Schwarzkopf products are costly but what is cheaper these day 😐 When we were relocating that time I packed all my stuff and shipped through movers & packer so I have used so many low end shampoo conditioners(actually whatever I could find) that my hair went crazy and got damaged so I have decided to give Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner duo a try. I have already mentioned it before that I prefer to use shampoo and conditioner from the same range if available, so Let’s read on to find out does this shampoo-conditioner duo do what it claims…

My Experience with Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner:

Packaging:

Not very sturdy. I dropped conditioner bottle and it broke stopper in the cap which fits the opening from where product comes out. not travel friendly as these are salon packaging.

Smell & Consistency:

Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner smell really nice and salon like, the smell linger for a day. Consistency of shampoo is on runny side but not very runny. Consistency of conditioner is creamy lotion like.

Performance of Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo:

When I started using it on my crazy damaged(broom like) hair, it did not work on me infact it made them worse after 2 washes. It cleaned my scalp really well but my hair were going in every possible direction. Since I have invested my hard earned money in it and also I have a bit knowledge about hair and body going into detox mode, I have decided to continue for few more washes and I’m glad that I did. After 3-4 washes it has actually started working on my hair and started taming them and giving them more sleeker and smoother look like their actual self. It cleaned hair and scalp properly and gave squeaky clean no residue feeling. My hair have started looking their actual healthy self.

On oiled hair you need a bit extra shampoo and 2 washes to wash out oil but anyways I go for 2 washes everytime so I don’t mind.

What I like:

  • Squeaky clean scalp and hair without any residue or product buildup.
  • hydrating formula.
  • start repairing hair damage after few washes.’
  • Gives shiny sleek look to hair with volume.
  • Lathers well.

What I do not like:

  • Packaging is not travel-friendly.
  • Price may be con for some.
  • SLS.

Performance of Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Conditioner:

Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Conditioner  is creamy lotion which is not as thick as few conditioners I used. It spreads easily and I need a bit extra amount than my normal conditioner. While washing it has seemed to do the job well but after wash I have realized that it is not as creamy, moisturizing and hydrating as it should be. I did not feel any difference in my hair when I used this with shampoo ans when I used shampoo alone. It has not tamed any extra flyaways and performed pretty average for my normal hair.

I would say it might suit oily hair people but definitely not for normal/dry hair people.

What I like:

  • No residue/build up on hair.
  • Spreads easily and washes out easily.
  • Does not weigh down hair.

What I do not like:

  • Packaging.
  • Not moisturizing even on my normal hair.
  • Does nothing for even slight frizz.
  • Not much difference in my hair hair with and without it.

Final Verdict:

Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo : 4/5
Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Conditioner: 2.5/5

From Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner duo I have really like Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo as it worked on my hair. It repaired the damage and restored health of my hair by making them more manageable, healthier, sleeker and shinier. It is mild enough to be used daily. I recommend it. I wouldn’t mind to repurchase it someday 🙂

Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Conditioner on the other hand has failed to impress me. It is just an average conditioner but with a hefty price tag. It did not do anything for my normal hair. It did not make any difference. I do not recommend it for normal/dry hair people. People with oily hair can give it a try. It is not a repurchase for me. I would rather love to try masque from the range next time.

These are my views on Schwarzkopf BC Repair Rescue Shampoo & Conditioner duo. Have you used any of these 2 products? What are your thoughts about these? share in comment section below 🙂

Till next time…take care…xoxo.

P.S. If you are willing to shell out these many bucks, go for L’oreal professional range 🙂

  1. I have seen their products so many times at salons and online, but have never used any. It is a shame that the conditioner did not work out for you. I may try their shampoo and skip the conditioner. Thanks for the heads up!!!

  2. It’s a shame that the conditioner didn’t work out, but I’m glad that the shampoo helped to repair your hair while also getting it properly clean. 🙂

  3. I have used couple of samples from this brand and liked it. Great detailed review. Shampoo sounds great, glad you decided to give more try to it. Conditioner, well hair is crazy.

  4. Just few years back I had heard about this brand, my friend told me only good things about their shampoos 🙂 I am into chemical free zone these days, still would like to try this, just curious 😛 🙂 Great review 🙂

  5. This is so good to know! When I lived in Germany, Schwarzkopf was (is) a huge thing there and I liked it! My hair is dry, but got much much better after ditching the hair drier a bit 🙂 But with such a shampoo to rescue it even more, I will be glad! And I like shampoos that are not so runny and also not so thick, so this seems to be the one for me! Hope you have a very nice weekend!
