You can imagine tomatina festival of spain minus the tomatoes and plus the colours (if that makes any sense 😀 )

I always blabber about what a big eyeliner-crazy girl (especially coloured eyeliners) I am and yet I was going through my posts and realised that there are very few coloured eyeliner reviews i have done. So here i am with not one but 3 coloured eyeliner/kohl swatches for you by Oriflame. Today’s review is of Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer Grey, blue and green.

Read on to know whether to take it or leave it 🙂

What Oriflame says about Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer eyeliner/kohl:

Shades Available: Black, Brown, Grey, Blue and Green. (I have finished brown and black a long back and don’t have swatch pictures for those. so will do a post later for both shades).

Price & Quantity:

349/- INR for 0.3gm. Expiry date is mentioned on packaging. I got mine at 179/- INR at oriflame catalogue discount. so keep an eye on discounts or tell your oriflame consultant to keep you posted on discounts.

Packaging:

Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer comes is retractable sleek black pencil with color coded strip in middle which is of same color as liner. The color coded packaging makes these easy to spot if you own more than 1. The caps click-shuts perfectly.

Retractable pencil means no product wastage and easy to carry in your wallet or bag(no need to carrysharpener 🙂 ). It would have been better if the colored strip was on cap or at end but I’m not complaining. Overall thumbs up for packaging.

Texture:

Texture of Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer kohls are soft enough to apply on waterline as well as lashline. Though i feel that Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer blue and green  are bit harder than grey one (I might have gotten the faulty piece possibly, but even in eyeconic and colossol i have seen blue and green are not as soft as black, brown or grey). But still texture is soft enough to glide smoothly and not causing any tugging or pulling.

Pigmentation:

Now that is the part which is the most important for me when it comes to liners. I like my eyes heavily lined(if that’s a term 😛 ) so poor pigmentation turns me off. Now coming to the pigmentation of Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer eyeliners/kohls grey, blue and green are averagely pigmented and won’t give you desired color in single swipe. Grey and green are more pigmented than blue.

Though the colors show up on lashline in 1 swipe but on waterline I need atleast 2-3 swipes. As i said heavily lined so I use 2-3 swipes on waterline as well as on lashline. Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer eyeliner/kohls are matte 🙂

Staying power & Performance:

Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer eyeliner/kohls stays on lashline for good 9 hours without smudging and fading but on waterline it starts to fade in about 4 hours on my little oily eyes and and smudge a little on corners in about 6-7 hours. The smudge on waterline is not much that it will give you racoon eyes. Here is a picture of Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer blue at different timstamps of the day see for yourself(no primer used):

These are safe to use on waterline and does not irritate my sensitive eyes. I love to use colors on my eyes so Overall i am satisfied with the performance.

What I like about Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer Grey, blue and green:

• color coded retractable packaging.
• Travel friendly.
• matte colored liners.
• Affordable if on discount.
• Smooth in application, no tugging or pulling.
• Safe to use on waterline(even for sensitive eyes).
• Stays upto 9-10 hours on my lids.
• Stays for 4-5 hours on waterline.
• Waterproof .
• Smudge proof on lashline. Doesn’t transfer on lids.
• Easily washout with facewash.

What I don’t like about Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer grey, blue and green:

• pigmentation of blue and green could have been better.
• Costly if not on discount (You get same colors in lakme eyeconic at lesser price).
• On waterline staying power is not good.
• Blue and green pencil are bit hard in starting.

Final Verdict on Oriflame Beauty Smooth Definer:

• Grey: 4.5/5
• Blue: 3.5/5
• Green : 4/5

Girls if you get these on discount(sometimes you get these at 179/- INR at discount) then these are the cheapest good quality colored eyeliner/kohls. These are not a must-have though. I love grey one and would repurchase it if on discount. For blue and green i would say go for lakme eyeconic instead 🙂
