My Experience with OPI Mexico City Collection Mini Set:
The maxico collection had 12 shades and this mini set has 4 mini polishes from the range. Let’s go shade by shade.
Mexico City Move-mint:
I will describe it as soft pastel mint shade in crème formula, this is the dud out of the 4. Such a beautiful shade but such a bad formula. it is streaky and thick and takes forever to dry. Layering is difficult and if not careful it messes up the previous layer. Which makes my least favorite out of the bunch. These are 3 coats and still looks streaky.
Suzi’s Slinging Mezcal:
A pale gold with very fine gold and silver glitter which gives it a beautiful blinding sparkle. Such a beautiful formula. not too think not too thick, perfect and spreads easily, self-levels and dries super fast. 2 coats are applied here.
Mural Mural on the Wall:
My favorite form the bunch, this beautiful coral with gold flakes in it, it is such a gorgeous shade. very unique in my whole collection. the gold flakes are not on surface and more in the background which gives a 3d effect. The formula is translucent and dries quickly. these are 2 coats.
Telenovela Me About It:
Bright hot pink with not-so-noticeable pink shimmer which gives it a pearlescent look. beautiful cream formula which dries fast and easy to layer. I applied 2 layers here but it also dried well in 3 layers.
Final Verdict: 4/5
I love the OPI city collections and the fun names of the shades. OPI Mexico City Collection is no exception, however the gorgeous maxico city move-mint is completely dud shade in this set in terms of formula. It is waste id such a beautiful shade. Other 3 shades in the set have beautiful cream formula from OPI and stays put for 3 days before it starts to fade from tips.
