Olay has been around for really long time and is famous for it’s anti-aging products. I have been dipping my toes into anti-aging products from my late 20’s. So ofcourse I have given these a try before as well and then repurchased these again in my early 30’s. And i’m here to share my consolidated review of Olay Total Effects 7 in One Hydrating Day SPF30 & Hydrating Night Cream.
About Olay Total Effects 7 in One Hydrating Day Cream SPF30 & Hydrating Night Cream:
Ingredients:
My Experience with Olay Total Effects 7 in One Hydrating Day Cream SPF30 & Hydrating Night Cream:
I have sensitive combination skin which tends to get dry patches and lean dry in winters and oily patches in summers. So my experience is based on that.
Packaging:
Olay Total Effects Hydrating Day Cream SPF30 & Hydrating Night Cream bith come in cream plastic bottle with matte black pump. The packaging is one of those air pressure pump packaging where the product gets shifted up as we use. I love this kind of packaging because you can use every last bit of product without making it messy. in my pics it says OLAZ because in netherlands Olay was sold as OLAZ but now they have rebranded and it is being sold as olay.
Texture:
Texture of day care is a bit thicker cream like whereas the night cream is more light-weight cream. And it feel also the same when applied on skin. Day cream feels a bit heavier than night cream. Both have slightly different scent as well.
Performance:
I used both of these creams at the same period of time in day and night care routines respectively.
Olay Total Effects 7 in One Hydrating Day Cream SPF30:
I have used Olay Total Effects Hydrating Day Cream SPF30 comes in a sensitive and regular version i have used both and i prefer sensitive version more. Sensitive skin version is slightly light-weight and does not sting the eyes whereas the regular version stings the hell out of my eyes if it ever so slightly touches eyes or lashes. It makes my eyes teary if i go anywhere near eye area which i hate because i like to use my creams around my eyes as well. Although i have not faced this issue with sensitive skin version.
The day cream in general feels slightly thicker on skin and hence perfect option for winter days and SPF 30 is also good for me in winters. but my combination skin does not like it in warm weather. This gets absorbed into skin but takes good amount of time and even in winters after 3-4 hours i can see my skin oils peeking through. So a big no for oily skin.
Olay Total Effects 7 in One Hydrating Night Cream:
Night cream on the other hand is a gem. I love the light-weight texture, refreshing scent. It quickly absorbs into skin without feeling heavy and does not feel greasy at all. I can get away with it in all season. It feels moisturizing in a good way and not heavy at all. My skin feel plump with continuous usage. It is weird that night cream is more lightweight than day cream and this I have also noticed in olay regenerist range.
Final Verdict:
Olay Total Effects 7 in One Hydrating Day Cream SPF30: 3/5
I will not recommend Olay Total Effects 7 in One Hydrating Day Cream SPF30 regular version if you have sensitive skin or sensitive eyes. This stings badly and also feels heavy on skin. Not my cup of tea. Sensitive skin version on the other hand does not sting and also feel less heavy on skin but still will not recommend that for oily skin.
Olay Total Effects 7 in One Hydrating Night Cream: 4.5/5
Olay Total Effects 7 in One Hydrating Night Cream is very light-weight easy to absorb and refreshing night cream. I loved it. It made my skin look plump and made my finelines little less noticiable. Recommended.
