Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15 Review
Heylo Everyone,
I hope your week is going great. I am not keeping for last 2 days and it is irritating me like anything. So I am trying my best to divert my mind. Today I’m here with review of Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15 which I have been using for 2 months and I think I am ready to share my review on it 🙂
Product Description & Directions to use:
Price & Shelf-life:
349/- INR for 14gm (This comes as a trial pack).
1299/- for 50gm(Full size).
Shelf-life of 18 months.
Ingredients:
Water (Nước), Glycerin, Niacinamide, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Dimethicone, Isopropyl Isostearate, Octocrylene, Panthenol, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, Acrylamide/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Behenyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, PTFE, Tocopheryl Acetate, C13 14 Isoparaffin, Titanium Dioxide, Sorbitan Stearate, Methylparaben, Sucrose Polysoyate, Dimethiconol, Allantoin, Carbomer, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Laureth 7, PEG 100 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance (Chất tạo hương), Sodium PEG 7 Olive Oil Carboxylate, Stearic Acid, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Limonene, Alpha Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Salicylate, Linalool, Citronellol, Ascorbic Acid, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide 4, CI 16035, CI 19140.
P.S. Ingredient list is not mentioned on product packaging anywhere. Strange thing is I could not find the listing of Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15 on Olay’s official website anywhere. All I could find were links from different e-commerce website which are selling it 😮
Packaging:
The outer packaging of Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15 is typical Red and brown black carton box, similar to other products from Regenerist range. Outer box has all the details as product description, other product names from same range and directions to use, price, manufacturing & expiry date, quantity and made in Thailand and import to India 😀
Inside the box product comes in glassy appearing grey plastic tub with screw lid. The packaging is travel friendly but not sturdy, I dropped it once and its cap broke so definitely do not drop it.
Overall the packaging is nothing special.
Texture & color:
I love how Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15 looks in tub. It is beautiful peach colored cream which looks very rich textured in the tub. and I was right about it being rich textured. As soon as you take cream in your hands you can feel that it is thick consistency cream. Which when you massage on face sinks into skin pretty well. But be cautious about the quantity you use.(less is more remember!).
Performance of Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15:
For the first time I have applied Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15 during summers and it made my combination skin feel uncomfortable and oily in less than 2 hours(even after setting with powder so forget about layering it with foundation or BB cream). So a big no-no for oily/combination skinned beauties in summers.
I gave this one a second try in monsoon/rainy season and it performed better than summers but on a humid day you might not like heavy feeling on skin. So no for oily/combination skinned beauties in monsoon too.
Then I gave it a third try since the start of fall season and I liked the hydration it gave to my combination skin in dry weather and since then I am hooked onto it throughout winter. It provides just enough hydration and moisturisation to skin so oily/combination skinned beauties are gonna love it in fall and winters.
Dry skinned beauties will love it in all seasons.
It also provides a healthy glow to skin and makes the appearance of skin smoother(I don’t have wrinkles but a bit of fine lines under my eyes) so with regular usage it might smooth the fine lines appearance. I sometimes skipped my eye cream and applied this instead(Big risk I know) and it did not burn my eyes(Thankfully 😛 ) and provided the hydration as my eye cream does 🙂
Quantity required to cover face and neck is very less(pea-size is enough for me) so little goes a long way.
Lets sum up my likes and dislikes about Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15.
What I like about Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15:
- rich textured peach colored cream.
- Provides hydration for dry skinned beauties in all seasons.
- Reduces appearance of fine lines overtime.
- Provides a healthy glow to skin.
- Smoothen out nourished skin.
- Sinks into skin quickly and doesn’t form a film.
- Did not break out my sensitive skin.
- Doesn’t sting in eyes unlike mostly anti-aging creams.
- Travel-friendly packaging.
- Perfect for winters for oily/combination skinned beauties.
- very less quantity is required(14gm tub lasted me for approx 3 months)
What I don’t like about Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15:
- Too heavy for oily/combination skinned beauties in summers/humid weather.
- Pricey.(but very less quantity is required, so little goes a long way).
- No mention of ingredients on package.
- Contains alcohol.
- could not find product on official site.
- SPF 15 will not suffice in summers.
Final Verdict:
3.8/5 (-ve for being heavy and greasy for oily and combination skin in summers and humid weather). Dry skinned beauties would love it in all seasons. But oily/combination skinned beauties should buy it only in winters.
I will repurchase it next winter again. I liked the smoother appearance and healthy glow it provides.
So this is my review about Olay Regenerist Revitalising Hydration Cream Moisturiser SPF15(quite long :P).

I am a huge Olaz/Olay fan but I avoid their jar products. Makes the awesome ingredients pretty much useless in no time 🙁
yeah agree..
I’m guessing this would not be right for me (since I have oily skin). Maybe in the winter I could give it a go.
oh definitely not for oily skin..but in harsh winters you can give it a try..
Have a nice day

I usually love Olay products, but what a shame this comes in a jar. A tube would have been better and more hygienic.

Not for my oily skin. Very well written review dear 🙂
Thank you..Yeah not for oily skin 🙂
Very thorough review Anubhuti. Olay products are only great for winters or people with dry and mature skin. Too oily for summers.
Yeah agree with you 🙂
I loved ure detailed take on this! WIll definitely check this out…Lovely review Babe 🙂
Thanks babe 🙂
nicely reviewed dear..but my oily skin will not let me try this one 🙁
Thank you 🙂 you can skip it…
Thanks for your honest review, sounds like an average product!!
It worked great for my combi skin in winters but skip for oily skin And must try for dry skin 🙂
I suppose given that you are going to repurchase the product, it means it’s not that bad – you just need the right occasion for it. I always have product that are good only in winter, others – only in summer..
