My experience with Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquer Ruby Blaze:
Nykaa is an Indian online store which has it’s own range of products as well. They have different formulations of nailpaints and a wide variety of shade range in those formulations. I do own a couple of them from regular line. But today the focus is on matte range.
Shade:
Ruby Blaze is deep maroon shade which sets to matte finish. The color is opaque in atleast 2 coats.
What I like about Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquer Ruby Glaze:
- Matte glass bottle with black packaging looks quite nice.
- The formula is neither too thick nor too runny and dries fairly quick, which makes it easy to layer.
- The staying power is nice for about 4 days before it starts to fade from the tip.
- It does not chip and does not get discoloration. it fades from tip when it starts to wear off.
- The brush applicator is perfectly sized for big and small nails both.
- The shade is beautiful.
- Formula does not get goopy over time.
What I do not like about Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquer Ruby Glaze:
- The flat matte look lasts for only 1-2 days and it starts to fade into looking like regular nail polish from very next day.

Nykaa Matte Nail Lacquers are really good but the obvious deduction of points is because it does not stay matte more than 1-2 days. By day 3 it looks more like a regular polish. However the shade ruby glaze is super beautiful. I do love it and enjoy it because I own it. This range have huge variety of shades. Although I am interested in a couple of interesting shades from the range such as blueberry frosting & nutcraker dream. But I’ll not run out and buy these at full price. Also I can get same matte effect from a matte topcoat over my regular polish. But Overall i enjoy this range and definitely recommend it.
