These days many new launches have prices toughing sky high, so I generally control myslef and wait for sale 😀 but Nykaa has changed the game lately. They launched their lipstick range with price tag 399/- INR so I thought why not and I bought 4(yeah that is why I generally don’t buy new launches cuz I want them all :D). This time I told myself “Please review it within a week now this time” and then same old story, review got delayed and delayed and then there are reviews everywhere online before I post my review 😀 But anyways better late than sorry, here I am with my review and swatches of Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks. I have 4 shades and I have decided to do all swatches in one post, so this is definitely a picture heavy post.

My Experience with Nykaa So Matte Lipstick:
Packaging: Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks comes in a colourful bright carton box with floral kind of feel to it in red, orange and pink colours. The actual lipstick bullet is housed inside is a chunky cuboid matte black case which has Nykaa engraved on cap. The cap shuts with magnetic mechanism which is classy. The packaging is classy and luxurious. BUT!!! it is not gonna go inside your denim pockets, even if it fits there it is not gonna look flattering at all :D. Well you can’t get it all :).
Texture: Texture of Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks is exactly how nykaa describes it – cushiony and flexible. These glide like a dream and feel superlight on lips even upon layering. These are not matte-matte rather you can call them creamy-matte. They go creamy on application but will never settle into complete matte finish but you know you can always blot it 😉
Pigmentation: These are insanely pigmented in a single swipe, even the light shades give opaque and even application in single swipe. I apply them in my usual style: apply, blot, apply, blot, apply, now last blot is as per mood.
Performance: Being the creamy formula and as Nykaa claims infused with vit E, these keep lips moisturised and soft.Once set into semi-matte finish these stay put for good 4-5 hours. They transfer a little and fade with little nips and sips but nothing major. These stain lips, even the light shades so even after a full fledged meal there is still slight tint on lips so no rush for immediate touch-up :).
Shades:Â This range has 12 shades and I have 4 of them. Nykaa really nailed the name game, and all shades have names very apt for them.
- Wicked Wine: Perfect Red-wine shade. (Would suit all skin tones)
- Mischievous Plum: Perfect Plum shade. (Really gorgeous)
- Naughty Nude: Pink based Nude. This is my MLBB shade.
- Taupe Thrill: Taupe nude(brown based nude). This is also my MLBB sort of shade.

Wicked Wine:
Mischievous Plum:
Naughty Nude:
Taupe Thrill:
Final Verdict: 4.5/5
Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks are affordable, non-drying creamy mattes with decent staying power. This Range is offering 12 gorgeous shades from beautiful red, orange, pinks, browns to gorgeous shades of nudes also some daring shades like mischievous plum at pretty affordable price tag.
