Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream Review

This review took so long because I really had to do lot of research for this one. I am new to korean skincare products and Mizon Snail Repair range is my first try on korean skincare products. I have already reviewed facewash, toner and serum from the range. This is a face cream which a general user might think as moisturizer but as you know there are typically 7-step in korean skincare and face cream is 6th step which means you are supposed to apply this before your regular moisturizer. Why am I telling you this, because this information changed this review a bit in a good way. So let’s dive into review of Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream.

My Experience with Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream:

The claim is that it contains 92% snail filtrate and Snail filtrate is the very first ingredient in the ingredient list so that is reassuring. Mizon all in one snail repair cream claims to deeply hydrates skin, resulting in a more refined texture, less fine lines, blemishes and scars. so lets dive into details to know if that fulfills the claims or not.

Packaging:

Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream comes in a dark brown glass tub with black cap going with the theme of the range. I have read that it comes with spatula but mine did not have one. I do not mind tub packaging as i do wash my hands before applying cream.

Texture & Consistency:

Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream has slimy slightly sticky texture and has gel cream like consistency and very lightweight.

Performance:

I mostly follow facewash, toner, serum and moisturizer routine. I use Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream after facewash, toner and serum. And I have noticed that it takes about a minute to absorb into skin. I felt it gets absorbed nicely and gives smoother look to skin. If I use a bit extra amount it feels sticky so that is good as a primer but not a good feeling if you are not wearing makeup. This does not feel heavy at all on skin. It does contain few comedogenic ingredients and fruit extracts but it did not irritate or breakout my skin.

Now lets discuss hydrating and moisturizing properties weather wise. In summers and fall, I felt it was enough moisturizing for my combination skin. It felt soothing on my skin and calmed down any irritation or redness. It also gave skin a mattified look and my skin was hydrated and plump. But as soon as winter arrived, it was not hydrating and moisturizing enough on its own. I feel you need to use an extra moisturizer on top of it.

Regarding effect on skin texture and fines line, it does work on improving skin texture but not as effective on fine lines. I noticed my skin became more even toned and plump. However it did not work on lightening of my melasma.

Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream is a good option if you have oily skin or if you live in hot humid place and you are looking for a hydrating cream. This feels very light-weight on skin and perfect for hot humid weather on it’s own. However if you live in colder climate and you have combination or dry skin, then this is not your best bet if you plan to use it as moisturizer. However during my research about this product, i came across this article on kryzuy where it is mentioned that this is a facecream and it needs t be followed by a moisturizer. If that is the case, this is perfect for that purpose. It worked on evening out skintone and improving skin texture but it did not do much on fine lines or melasma (I have already finished the whole product). My skin felt smoother, firmer and plumper.

I will not repurchase it. But I do recommend it for oily skinned beauties.
