How to Use:

• Swipe on the product with the foam tip applicator evenly over your lips.
• Apply a second coat of the weightless mousse, to deepen the shade and give your lips a powdery, matte look. .
• To add a soft blush to your cheeks, dot the mouse under your cheekbones in a half moon shape and use your fingertips to blend.

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Lip & Cheek Color:

Packaging:

I am not a fan of the packaging. You must be thinking beautiful Bbush colored tube with golden metallic cap, what is not to love!!! well I’ll tell you what, “lack of any kind of color coding”.  Shade name is written on outer box as well as at bottom of the tube. Everytime I wanna pick a color I have to check all 3 at bottom to read the shade name to pick the shade I wanna apply.

However the sponge applicator is quite good and soft and it has a hole in center to pick product nicely. I take out product once and it covers both my lips nicely.

Texture & Scent:

Texture of Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Lip & Cheek Color is true to its name. It is weightless mousse which glides without any trouble and gives opaque finish in one go even on pigmented lips. With lighter shades you might need to go for 2 coats still it does not feel heavy. It has fresh vanilla scent.

Shades:

There are 14 shades in the range covering most shades. I have 3 shades: Crimson Silk(Warm toned Red), Fuchsia Suede(True Fuchsia) and Pink Plush(Neon Coral Pink).

Performance:

As Lip color: Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Lip & Cheek Color dries down to velvet matte finish which feels very comfortable on lips. Even if you have not prepped the lips, these are forgiving. They feel light on lips (lighter than NYX and miss claire soft matte lip creams). Lighter shades stay for 3-4 hours with sips and nips between and darker shades stays for good 5-6 hours. However after a full meal they fade from center of lips and reapplication is required which is again very easy breezy and not crumbly.

As Cheek Color: Not all shades from Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Lip & Cheek Color range are suitable as blush color. But whatever shades are suitable, they blend very easily and sets to powder finish. These are super pigmented so using less and build up is the key. As blush they stay 9 to 5 on me in normal weather and for about 5-6 hours in hot humid weather.

Overall I am loving all 3 shades of Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Lip & Cheek Color range and plan on buying more. These are super comfortable lip and cheek products with decent staying power. Even if you have forgot to prep your lips, these will not suck life out of your lips. Though not all shades will suit all skintones, still there are shades for everyone. I recommend you grab a shade or two this sale season :).
