My Experience with La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water:
Avene, Vichy & La Roche-posay are major players in thermal spring water skincare. While all 3 perform almost similarly and are intended for same purpose which is to sooth and calm irritated/sensitive/rosacea/eczema prone skin, all 3 have their own pros and cons. So Let’s talk about La Roche-Posay Thermal Water today.
Packaging:
La Roche-Posay Thermal Water comes in a white and blue tin can spray packaging with spray nozzle. The spray of this is not as fine as avene and vichy and you can feel the bigger droplets hitting the face.
Consistency:
La Roche-Posay Thermal Water is water and feels quite cooling and calming as it hits the face,
Performance:
Like the vichy one, i like to use this as toner, as calming mist, as a refreshing mist on a hot humid day and even after makeup to tone down powdery finish. I noticed that this is not only calming and soothing on irritated skin, it feel a bit more moisturizing than the vichy and Avene one. It also works amazing on any kind of skin irritation whether it is cold winter red dry flaky skin irritation or post waxing bumps/razor burns or even any product reaction. This immediately feels calming and the inflammation calms down faster thanks to selenium rich water.
Final verdict: 4.9/5
Performance wise La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is 5/5 but I do find the spray a bit thick sometimes and that is only con i can see. I find La Roche-Posay Thermal Water more moisturizing and faster at calming inflammation than vichy & Avene one and I prefer using this in transitioning weather like spring and fall. But i do prefer spray of vichy and avene over this one and Vichy & Avene one have more specific mineral mentions. I like to alternate between avene, vichy and la roche-posay thermal waters. I recommend this if you have sensitive skin and will repurchase it again. However if oyu have healthy normal skin, you might not notice the benefits that much.
