Apologies again for being very irregular at posting here but I am trying my best to cope with all the wedding shopping, traveling and office. It is getting tougher as D day is approaching. But I’m trying my best to post as soon as I get a little time 🙂

Today I’m here with review of Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner which i have been using a lot lately and finished using a bottle each recently and now I’m ready to share my views about it 🙂

Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner is for colored hair and claims to enhance the color and shine of color-treated hair. Read on to see if it sticks to its claims or not.

Packaging of both Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner is pretty pink wave-shaped bottle bright green press top cap which looks quite feminine and attractive 🙂 but the bottles are bulky and not very travel-friendly.

My Experience with Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Shampoo:

Since the day i have got red highlights at ends of my hair I was very keen on trying to make the color last longer as hair-stylist said that Red color fads-off quicker than other colors. At that time the shampoo i was using made the color bleed from hair so badly that i almost cried knowing how harsh shampoo I was using. Then my friend suggested to use Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Shampoo. Since I have used Herbal Essences Shampoo before and had good experience with the brand so i thought to give this one a try.

As soon as i sniffed this shampoo at the supermart i fell in love with it’s fragrance. It has a sweet floral fragrance which is not overpowering and doesn’t linger long. But I really like the fragrance.

Coming to its claim of enhancing shine and color I would say It does enhance the shine and color and make it look prominent 🙂 yayyy for this.. My color did not bleed while using it, and it gives clean feeling to scalp without drying. Thought following it up with conditioner is a must if you are using it every alternate day without oiling your hair 🙂

What I like about Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Shampoo:

• Awesome fragrance.
• Enhances shine for colored hair.
• Gives Soft hair and clean scalp.
• Good for alternate day usage.
• Removes oil nicely.
• Doesn’t irritate scalp.
• Doesn’t build up on scalp or hair.

What I Don’t like about Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Shampoo:

• Nothing herbal about it as it contains loads of chemicals.
• Doesn’t do anything special to your hair.
• Doesn’t control frizz (It doesn’t claim that though).
• Not so travel friendly packaging.

My Experience with Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing  Conditioner:

I prefer to use shampoo and conditioners with same range together because I think that ways there are minimum chances for ingredients to react 😛 (you think it’s weird?) 😀 anyways mostly i use shampoo and conditioner from same range together so i picked Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Conditioner along with shampoo.

It also has the same fragrance and it is cream conditioner. I love creame conditioners as they feel to be working on hair (again weird assumption :P) but hair feels softer in bath itself when i use cream conditioners than other runny conditioners.

It works okay along with shampoo and i have used it for testing with other shampoo also and effect was similar. It does enhance shine and color when used with same shampoo. Doesn’t do anything to control frizz and i feel after regular usage it causes build up on hair 🙁 I don’t use much styling products on my hair yet so i know when conditioners or shampoos start building up on hair.

What I like about Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Conditioner:

• nice fragrance. Smells floral.
• Pretty pink creamy conditioner.
• Makes hair softer.
• Hair detangles easily.

What I Don’t like about Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Conditioner:

• loads of chemicals.
• builds up on hair after some time.
• Not suitable for dry-hair type.
• average.
• not so travel friendly packaging.
• Does nothing for frizzy hair.

Final Verdict:

3.8/5 for Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Shampoo. (negative due to chemicals and not adding enough moisture for frizz control)

2.5/5 for Herbal Essences Color Me Shiney Shine Enhancing Conditioner. (Very average.. Cons are more than pros..do I need to say more???)
