Facial Hair!!! Try these home remedies…
Heylo Beautiful ladies,
I hope you are doing good. I’m just trying to catch a breath in this increasing hot weather of Gurgaon. I’m in gyan-guru mode these days 😛 so my today’s post is also more of gyan-wardhak post.
Facial hair is always a headache for most of us especially if they are visible enough. So I have done some research and brought to you these “Nuskha’s” 😛
These remedies consist of natural ingredients that minimize the appearance of facial hair and also make your skin more radiant and beautiful. Presenting you a few facial hair scrub/masks, do it once/twice a week (Not more than that) and be patient to see the noticeable difference.
Turmeric Mask:
Otherwise famous for improving one’s complexion turmeric also has helps to curb hair growth. Turmeric is also good for many other skin problems and wounds due to its antibacterial properties.
Make a paste by soaking turmeric powder in water, apply to the facial area where you have excess hair and leave on for a few minutes. Once it dries, use a cloth dipped in warm water to wipe away the turmeric and watch the hair get wiped too. 🙂 So simple isn’t it.
Sugar scrub:
Mix 2-3 spoons of sugar with 1 spoon of lemon juice and 1 spoon of water, mix well. Apply this solution on your face and leave it for 15 minutes. Gently rub in circular motion before washing off with water (don’t be harsh on skin, you can damage it in process).
Lemon has bleaching properties which helps in skin and blemish lightening and also bleach facial hair and improve complexion. This concoction with regular use reduce facial hair growth and also helps as great scrub.
Coffee scrub:
Take 2 spoon grounded coffee, 1 spoon grounded brown sugar, 1 spoon honey and a few drops of lemon. Mix all the ingredients together and exfoliate in circular motion against your hair growth. Rinse with normal water after 15 minutes. Be gentle on skin. Coffee helps in skin smoothening. This scrub can be used as anti-cellulite scrub for whole body. 🙂 You can make a large batch and store in fridge for 7-10 days.
Gram flour Masks:
Gram flour (Besan) has been used in face packs for ages. Women in many parts of India have been regularly using a face pack (Ubtan) made by mixing gram flour with turmeric and milk-cream (malai). This is believed to have the ability to remove blackheads and excess hair on the face, particularly around the nose, mouth and chin. It also helps in getting a smooth and flawless skin.
For the masks-
1. Mix equal amounts of gram flour and turmeric with a little rose-water/raw milk to make a thick paste add 4-5 drops of coconut oil or glycerine in the paste. Apply this paste on the face, leave on until it dries totally and then with a cloth dipped in warm water rub off this face mask.
2. Mix two tablespoons of gram flour in one tablespoon of yogurt and lemon juice. Add a pinch of turmeric and mix well to make a thick paste. Apply it on your face and let it dry. Rub it gently and wash off with lukewarm water.
Egg Peel-off mask:
Take 1 egg white, add half spoon corn flour add 1 spoon grounded sugar. Make a smooth paste and apply this to the portion of your face that has unwanted hair. Once it dries, just pull it off firmly and the hair will get pulled out too. It’s painful but the results are believed to be amazing. 🙂
I have not tried this one out but surely will give it a try as it works as peel-off mask.
P.S. Make sure you leave eyebrows and side-locks untouched with this mask otherwise you’ll end up in bad pain.
