A few days back I have shared my review on Dermalogica Clear Start Today, Clear Skin Tomorrow Kit and Today I’m here with review of Dermalogica School Day Skin Essentials Kit. This kit has essenttials which one need while the skin is irritated and breakaing out. So without wasting anymore time, let’s start with the review…

This kit contains 3 breakout essentials:

1. Breakout Clearing All Over Toner (30ml) – formulated with witch hazel and argan oil, this toner refreshes the complexion and retains moisture to help prevent blemish breakouts on the face and body. Breakout Clearing.
2. Emergency Spot Fix (4ml) – featuring benzoyl peroxide and tear tree oil to help reduce oil production, this spot treatment helps improve the appearance of skin riddled with blemishes and prevents pores from becoming clogged with debris.
3. Skin Soothing Hydrating Lotion sample: Lightweight moisturizer soothes dehydrated breakout-irritated skin.

My Experience with Dermalogica School Day Skin Essentials Kit:

Dermalogica School Day Skin Essentials Kit comes in a travel sized packaging. It is perfect for a day or two trip however this does not have any moisturizer(only sample size is there) or cleanser. This kit has a toner, breakout fix and moisturizer sample. let’s go one by one to see how individual product has faired:

1. Dermalogica Breakout Clearing All Over Toner:

This toner was part of Dermalogica Clear Start Today, Clear Skin tomorrow kit as well and I liked it. check out the detailed review here.

2. Dermalogica Emergency Spot Fix:

Dermalogicaa Emergency spot fix is 4ml sample but trust me, you would need only super tiny amount. I apply it on newly appearing pimple and it helps reducing the inflammation. It helps in subsiding the pimple completely in 2-3 days if applied twice a day. It contains Benzoyl peroxide 5% which is good for acne prone skin but it does not dry out skin a lot. I love this but this is costly so I will repurchse it only on sale.

3. Dermalogica Soothing Hydrating Lotion Sample:

When I have started using this kit my skin was irritated and this lotion did a miracle in soothing it down. There has never been a product before which worked this effectively in a single use, but this one immediately soothed the skin and calmed it down. My skin felt calm and breakouts soothed. This tiny sample lasted me 4 applications, I am definitely purchasing full size of this. I have never been blown away by a sample before :).

Final Verdict: 4.5/5

In my opinion Dermalogica School Day Skin Essentials kit is great. This is not an ideal travel kit as it is not a CTM(Cleanser, Toner, Moisturizer) kit. If you want to buy the full size products and before that want to test how they perform then this kit is perfect to go for. I have loved all 3 products from this kit and definitely buying the moisturizer full size despite the fact that it has alcohol in ingredient list.
