Heylo all,

Today I’m reviewing and showing you swatches of so much talked about and reviewed by many… Maybelline Colorshow Nailpaint range. I did not buy all the colors as I had mostly similar colors from different brands but you know there are few shades you can never have enough of…Maybelline Colorshow Silk Stockings is one of those shades for me. Read on to know and see what color is this 🙂

I have cut my nails short as I was bored of long nails (yeah I get easily bored with one look :P) and since 1 month I’m maintaining them short only and now I’ll grow them again 🙂 Lets talk about my all time favourite color by Maybelline colorshow.

Maybelline Colorshow Silk stockings:

This is a nude color with slight pink undertones and have very slight not-so-visible shimmer particles in it. Nahhh not glitter…shimmer 🙂 Which makes it different from the same shade nailpaints by other brands. I love such nude color on my nails and it is perfect for all outfits office-wear, party wear, casual wear 🙂 Pair these with similar nude lipstick and you’re good to go 😀 I have this shade is almost 4-5 brands.. but I adore this one cuz it has slight shimmer which makes the final look a little different.. you’ll see in nail swatch 🙂

Packaging:

Packaging is regular cylindrical bottle with Maybelline Colorshow on the cap. Brush is very good and very apt for application. Bottle looks sleek and pretty 🙂 I love the simple and hassle free packaging and shade number written on top of it makes it easy to pick up your favorite shades 🙂

Shade:

Shade is nude with slight pink undertones and have muted shimmer in it. Shade number is written on top of cap.

Color Pay-off & consistency:

Single coat also not very sheer but gives very pretty look to nails and I don’t mind applying it on my short nails but when I had bigger nails then for opaque finish I used to apply 2 coats. It dries up quickly so applying more coats is not a problem.

Price & Shelf-life: 75/- INR for 6ml. Shelf-life of 36 months.

What I like:

• Lovely Rosy nude color I would say 🙂 My absolute favourite.
• Nice color pay-off.
• Dries quickly and layering it is non-messy.
• When topped with clear top-coat wear time is 5-6 days.
• Muted shimmer gives a glossy finish.

What I don’t like:

• Wearing time is average when wear on its own. Stays put for 3 days then starts to chip from ends.
• Some may find staying power a con but at this price I don’t mind it much 🙂

Final Verdict: 4.8/5 (Go for it).. Maybelline colorshow range is my favorite these days and they have 60 or more color shades to choose from plus they have glitter-mania range also. I have reviewed glitter-mania shades here and here.
