Lakme 9 to 5 Matte formula is one of my favorite bullet lipstick formula. Lakme revamped and relaunched the range as Primer+Matte lipsticks. I have reviewed my most favorite shade from the range Scarlet Drill here, which is discontinued in new range 🙁 (why brands do that). Scarlet drill is my most loved and finished 100% but rosy Sunday was the first shade I’ve picked up from the range as i was more into deeper nudes that time. Whenever I wear this shade I’m asked about it everytime so today I’m finally reviewing Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lipstick Rosy Sunday.

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lipstick Rosy sunday:

If you are someone who likes berry based shades, then you’re gonna love it. Review about lipstick is more or less similar to Scarlet Drill.

Packaging:

Lakme 9 to 5 Matte lipsticks come in a rose gold packaging which I love. But i really wish there was some color-coded sticker atleast to recognize the shades specially if you have more than 1.

Shade:

Rosy Sunday is beautiful warm toned earthy dusty rose which is dusty rose with brown and berry hint to it.

Texture & Finish:

Texture of Lakme 9 to 5 Matte lipstick is like a child of powder matte and souffle. Glides easily with full-on pigmentation is a single swipe. And if you blot and layer then you’ll love it even more. Formula transfers but not as much if you blot it and after sometime the transfer becomes very less.

Staying Power:

As soon as you apply Lakme 9 to 5 Matte Lipstick Scarlet Drill, it looks a bit creamy and hence prone to tranfer easily. I apply 3 layers like: 1 layer, blot with tissue, Repeat 2 times more. This way it transfers lesser and stays much better. Also this way the first layer becomes like stain to your lips.

These survive small meals and full meals also(The way I apply it) unless you eat oily food. After oily food also slight stain is still there and you can survive without immediate touch up.

I love everything about this lipstick, the formula, staying power, shade… the only thing i dislike is absence of any kind of color-coding in packaging. If you want a nude shade of deeper skin-tones you can try it, if you want a berry or deep nude for light-medium skintones you can try it. This is very versatile shade and will flatter all skin-tones and almost all kinds of makeup. Loving it currently and reaching for it more often.

Recommended and probably repurchase as well since i’m halfway through it.
